First Data, eGift Social- Send Real Gifts, Real Easy

The gift giving dilemma during Christmas.  Sometimes it’s so hard to find that perfect gift.  And you want them to enjoy it, but sometimes they really aren’t a help.

While I’m not a fan of the gift card as a gift to send, sometimes I don’t feel like I have an option.  My step-brother always asks for cash.  I just can’t do it.  So he gets a gift card.

The new eGift Social makes it easy to send a gift when on the road or in a hurry. And a simple code that can be redeemed at any location means the recipient can pull up their activation code on their phone or online to use no matter where they live.   How easy is that? I don’t even have to leave home to send the gift.  At they don’t have to leave home to receive it.  In fact, they can even use the gift card at the retail establishment online, too.

Major retailers include Sephora, Sears, Kmart, Burger King, Cold Stone Creamery, and more. Gift giving through eGift Social is simple:

  1. Select a merchant
  2. Add gift recipients
  3. Decide whether you want to send the gift through Facebook, email, or both
  4. Select any of the retailer’s products as a gift
  5. Leave a personal message.

The recipient then gets and email, they follow the link, enter their email address and a captcha code, and they receive their gift card and pin.  So, you “send real gifts, real easy.”

Do you send gift cards?  Do you like to receive them?

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of First Data and received an eGift gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.

  1. I have been known to give gift cards, but I really like the idea of a gift card that can be used online AND in real life.

I actually love getting gift cards. I know they aren’t much fun to wrap, but goodness who can say no to free stuff I get to pick out?

  2. I got over my fear of giving gift cards a long time ago. Not personal? I’d rather give something that the person can pick out for themselves than pick the wrong thing myself. I don’t leave the house to shop either way (gifts or gift cards):) I think this idea will take off on FB. I can’t wait to receive all my gifts;)
