Guacamole in 30 Seconds

My family and I enjoy eating a good guacamole. With 6 of us dipping into the bowl, we can easily polish off a batch made with three avocados in no time at all. But, it takes a long time to mash, cut, dice and squeeze that much. Plus, chopping the cilantro always gets it all over.

And, well, complain, right, but I have this fabulous little Kitchen Ninja Blender that will chop and dice like nobody’s business. So, I halved and removed the seeds and skins from the avocados, cut the ends off the tomatoes, removed the label from the cilantro (after rinsing) and squeezed the lime into the blender. With a shake of seasoned salt and garlic powder (all of you onion and garlic people, you feel free to add it as you see fit…just throw it in there!)

Then, you just hit that little pulse button until it’s your desired texture. I like it chunky, but we make it a little smoother for the girls easy of eating and scooping. I think I pulsed this 10 times.

If you prefer different textures for different ingredients, you could always add them in to the blender after various pulses. Our guacamole was perfect, with one child exclaiming “this is the best guacamole, ever!” So, I guess that means all of the other times I’ve made it were substandard? But, this one was delicious!

Of course, we also have fun making smoothies with the Kitchen Ninja!

  1. Yum! I need to figure out how to pulse with my blender…I know it’s possible. They have cilantro now that is by the chilled herbs in a little cup and it’s already chopped and lasts for two weeks! I love it!

    1. Let me know if you figure that one out..I’ve been curious.

It lasts two weeks? That’s crazy. We can’t even get the fresh stuff to last that long.

I didn’t know you could make guacamole in a blender – those Ninja’s must be really nice to have. I agree, all the dicing and cutting makes a mess and takes some time.

  3. How have I never thought to do this? I am going to the store TODAY to get avocados and lime.

  4. Great idea to make guacamole in the blender, I always forget about it! My whole family loves it too, I served it on toast for a last minute meal last week and they LOVED it!

    1. I can’t even begin to understand why it is so yummy on toast…but it totally is! It’s like butter!

  5. That looks absolutely delicious. I love freshly made guacamole but I don’t always love all the chopping. Looks like the Ninja blender makes quick work of it

With extra chunks of tomatoes, this is a pregnancy craving that’s not letting up. Someone point me towards the blender and move outta the way!

    1. Enjoy your extra tomatoes…I can tolerate them, but that’s about it!

  7. I swear everyone raves about their Ninja and the recipes look so easy! I am not into Guac but I am sure it makes awesome salsa.

    1. I didn’t find my guac love until like college. I used to think avocados were disgusting. But now that I make my own with ingredients I like, delicious!

But, it’s also good for hummus and even soups that have a partially blended portion:)

  11. I LOVE guacomole! In fact I made a batch last night to go with some home made tacos. I’ve never tried to use a blender, normally favouring a chunky ‘mashed’ texture, but using the pulse button on the blender could save my arm muscles!!
