These girls are hardcore Nintendo fanatics. They alternate between their DSs and the Nintendo Switch
depending on the games they want to play. (They recently even pulled out the Nintendo NES
game system!) And, now I’ve introduced them to the Dr. Mario World Mobile Game from Nintendo.
Thank you to Nintendo for sending the shirt, Mocchi Mocchi
and some chocolates.
They seem to think that our phones are now theirs and it’s one more device they can use to play their favorite Nintendo games.

In celebration of the 30th anniversary (gosh that makes me feel old) of the Dr. Mario franchise, Nintendo is excited for us to grab our smart phone device (and stethoscope) and download the fun virus conquering puzzle game Dr. Mario World for free from the app store or google play!

In this free-to-start mobile game, players can play through hundreds of stages across several worlds, each stage offering a fun and absorbing puzzle featuring capsules and viruses.
Let me tell you…they figured out tricks and things I didn’t even realize I could do! Even though the directions tell you new skills at each level, well, they went right over my head, but they totally got that you could move half of a pill mid-game! (What can I say, I didn’t grow up with video games, so I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing like 90% of the time!)
Good thing you can’t hear this picture, because I was yelling “What? You can do that? I had no idea!”
About Dr. Mario World Mobile Game from Nintendo
Eliminate pesky viruses by using your puzzle skills to match capsules with viruses and watch them disappear. You just have to match three objects of the same color vertically or horizontally to clear them. And no, not diagonally or in an L-shape…which I learned by ending a few levels abruptly.
New Content
A few new update just went live in time for the 30th anniversary of the Dr. Mario franchise. A new mode, Skill Summit, has been added where Doctors take turns being mentors and holding limited-time summits for players to clear to earn in-game rewards. Players will also received Dr. Toad automatically when they clear Stage 20!
Play Together
Play together with friends and family around the world by adding your friends in the game to send and receive stamina-giving hearts, play Versus Mode to challenge each other to a one-on-one virus bursting showdown or see your friends’ progress in Stage Mode.
Mr. Serious and I definitely sent a couple battles back and forth. I can proudly say that I beat him once, which is pretty monumental for me. And with my newly acquired skill the girls taught me, I think I might be unstoppable! (I know, you can laugh!!)
Head to the app store or google play and download the game and have some fun reminiscing your youth, or living vicariously through your kids if video games weren’t a part of your youth!
