My Brilliant Idea

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

And, I’m allowed to deem it as such because it’s mine:)
(I don’t even pretend to understand everything about this…It’s just my idea!)

Mr. Serious was telling me all about the Carbon Tax for carbon dioxide emissions?

If you haven’t heard about it, it’s the latest rage. I’m pretty sure they do it in some European countries, too. Basically, it’s a tax on your CO2 emissions; your car exhaust, your lawn mower, etc.

But, here’s what I’m wondering. We all exhale CO2. Yep, every time you breath out, that’s another CO2 emissions. I’m not sure if that’s included in the tax or not.

But, regardless, here’s my brilliant idea: We set aside time every day where we, as a collective nation, hold our breath.

That’s right. Just 10 seconds with no exhaling. Do you think it would lower the greenhouse gases? Lower our CO2 emissions? I can only begin to wonder.

(Oh, and don’t think I’m anti-green, because I totally am. This is just some insight into my silly little brain!)

  4. How do they tax CO2 emissions? I think you should take your idea to congress!

  5. I’m afraid they’d tax my breathing. There’s a lot of “breathe out slowly while counting to ten” going on in my house!

  6. I totally agree with Such The Spot…I want credits for doing green things! Like holding my breath for 10 seconds at at time 🙂

  7. Didn’t they say that cow farts also emit CO2? So, maybe if we feed the cows less fiber-y stuff (or whatever makes them gaseous) this too would be a great saver!
