I’ve been introduced to some pretty cool new toys over the years by my friends at MomSelect. So, when they told me about the new toy, The Happy’s, I wasn’t sure what they are, but knew they would be fun for the kiddos. Of course, we weren’t disappointed! The Happy’s are a new line of interactive puppies and kitten plush “pets”. They play, do tricks and make over 25 sounds! Best of all, they don’t have to be walked or taken out to use the bathroom! The best kind of pet.

Seriously. They can play, chase a ball, pounce, walk with you and more. I brought the toys to N’s pre-K class of 11 kiddos one morning after carpool drop off. The kids immediately were interested in them, grabbing their remotes and playing with them. And, bonus points, they did an excellent job of sharing the cat, dog and ball.

When the ball was on, both the cat and dog immediately went to it and would go up on their hind legs. They got to the ball and would “walk” behind it while pushing the ball. However, the dog and cat weren’t the best at sharing and both would try to go to the ball at the same time!

Using the remotes, we discovered that The Happy’s would come to us to perform a trick. And, when holding down the button, they would “walk” next to us and follow along!

Action cat. She was fast and wasn’t messing around! The remote was across the room and she was on it.

The Happys are available nationwide at Toys R’ Us and other retail stores. They cost: $19.95 and each pet requires 2 AAA batteries that aren’t included. The remote requires more “specialty” batteries that do come included.

The Happy’s were definitely a hit with the class and I left the two pets there as well as the ball for them to play with during down time and/or rewards for good behavior. But, I think we might have to get a couple for the house because they were a lot of fun.

*No pictures of faces because they aren’t all my kids:) But, you do get a cute one of N!
