Here comes Peter Cotton Tail- Mommy and Me Monday (The 61st)

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids.  Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information.

Lots of rain and downpour Friday evening brought about a delayed start for soccer.

And, because of the delay we were able to head to a local park for an Easter egg hunt.

Of course, the Easter bunny was ready for pictures.  Thumbs up and all!

The girls?  Not so much.  They wanted a picture, they didn’t want a picture.

They settled on wanting a picture with mommy (fearful grasps and all)

Mommy and Me Monday- Mommy, the girls and the bunny

And, one with daddy (even more afraid!).

Daddy and the girls

The funniest part of the hunt?  The section we went to was for 3 and under (go ahead, tell us we are bad….but we had a soccer game to get to).  The eggs were filled with teeny tiny plastic toys.  And, the candy was just thrown on the dew-covered grass.  Most of the candy?  Bubble gum.  For 3 and under.  Go figure.

The weekend turned out to be much better than I expected…thank you all for your well wishes.

And, now, I guess I’d better change that “about the author” box.  Because as of Sunday, this girl is no longer in the “20-something” category.

Goodbye 20s.  Hello 30s!  I hope they are as good as everybody says they are.

Grab the button and link up.  Make some new friends and visit some old ones, too.

Mommy and Me Monday at Really, Are You Serious?

**There really is only one requirement here, a picture of you and your baby or babies; your children, your “baby” (ie significant other) or even your fur babies.  If your picture doesn’t feature you (meaning you must be in the picture), I will have to delete your link.  It’s not fair to the others that follow the rules.**

I try to make sure and visit all of you and leave some comment love.  Please spread the love!  And, I never mind the comments, either:)

So cute. N looks happier with you and the Easter Bunny than she did with her daddy. Happy Birthdaay #30 to you. The 30s are a great age to be…. I thought the 40s and 50s were really good too….. but I am not so excited about the 60s. Enjoy every minute of your young age. Make many fond memories that you can treasure in your heart and look back on. Life has gone by so quickly for me. I am glad that I have so many sweet memories to keep me company now that my kiddos are are grown and gone. Happy Happy Birthday dear.

And, if a wonderful college student recognizes that, don’t you think some of the parents should have said something?

  17. grandma Pat says:

So cute. I love Izzy’s fuzzy ears. Can’t beleive N was that paniced being in your and Mr. Serious’s arms. Remember how she just walked up to Mr. & Mrs. Claus and sat on Mrs. Claus’ lap at Thanksgiving. No fear at all.

    1. I think there was candy involved when Mrs. Claus was paid a visit!

  18. Oh yes, your thirties WILL be wonderful! I can tell you because I’m already more than halfway through mine. Yeesh! ;-P

Glad to know you had a good birthday!

  19. Happy Birthday Krystyn!

So far I’ve enjoyed my 30s. I’m just over a year into them and they’ve been good.

We didn’t even attempt pictures with the Easter Bunny. Not only is he not our thing, but I just KNOW, after our experience with Santa, that the event would be traumatic for them.

And I was less than thrilled with our Easter Egg hunt stuff too. Stickers and temp tattoos in the eggs were fine. But gum and tootsie rolls? Really? Yeah … all her candy was quickly confiscated and she enjoyed her stickers.

    1. Thank you!

And, we sure have some Santa pictures, too. I asked the girls and they wanted to do the shot with the bunny…and then they did their scared bit!

Seriously. I don’t get it. It’s like parents aren’t the ones filling the eggs.

  20. That’s so sweet! Isabella won’t get near the Easter Bunny but squeals when she sees him! People don’t think when they fill those eggs!!!

    1. The girls wanted to do it..they are silly like that!

I think parents forget too quickly…maybe that’s it?

  21. Happy Birthday Krystyn!!! May your 30s be a blast! Glad the girls were able to hang in there to take pics with the thumbs-up Easter Bunny.

    1. Thank you!

Isn’t the fact that he has his thumbs up a hoot?

  22. oh poor nat in that second picture!! i just want to come and get her and tell her everything will be ok!! so sweet mama!

    1. Pinky swear promise that she wanted to do the picture…silly goose!

  23. wow, sounds like an interesting fill for a three and under easter egg hunt. looks like the girls had a great time anyway:)

  24. Oh, poor little N… she’s not really sure she wants that scary big monster to be so close to her. I love Isabel’s bunny ears!!

    1. She’s funny like that! But, she really wanted to be in the picture!

And, that Isabelle..I don’t know what to do with her! She’s silly:)
