And summer starts!

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

Is this how most of you feel now that summer has started and school is out (and your kids are home)?

Ahhhh!

Actually, this is my relieved face.  Relieved that school is out.

Because, now?  I’ve had a full day to work on designs and I’d say it went pretty well!  (Just in case you didn’t know, I just resigned from teaching high school chemistry and now I’m doing graphic design full time with my business, Krizzy Designs.)

I’m excited and nervous for what the rest of the summer holds.

  4. My face will look half that excited come a week from tomorrow. Only half that excited because unlike you I’ll be signing my contract for another year. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy teaching, but after having kids it’s just not the same. & if I could make a living off of blogging (ha!) or my shop (ha! ha!) I’d do it in a heartbeat too! Still so excited for you! & like Annie said, your face is sheer happiness in that picture!

    1. Thank you. I’ve been doing it for a long time part time, but I’m upping it to full time. I’ve got to do what I love (I’m loving designing blogs and invites).

Krystyn I am so excited and happy for you. I have not been able to get on several of my favorite blogs lately. I missed your big news. I know that it was a really hard decision but I know you will be so glad that made this choice when school starts next year and you can stay home. After your precious girls are older you will have plenty of time to go back and teach. I wish you the very best of luck. Whatever financial sacrifices you may have to make will be more than made up for by the treasures you will receive from being with your girls. Some criticized me when I didn’t teach when my children were little. However, no amount of money could make up for the time I got to spend with them. Teaching 22 years turned out to be plenty long enough for me. I think you will feel the same way when you are my age looking back on your life . You will know you’ve done the right thing.
I wish you the very best with your new business. I am so happy for you. Much love, Lura

    1. Thank you, Lura. I hope you are feeling better and better every day.

  7. I just heard a rumor that’s what happened, and I’m thrilled for your success. Plus, I have a little job for you if you’d like.

  9. I LOVE that pic! You should definitely use that for your profile pic.

School isn’t out for us yet. One more week. But I do kind of feel like that today. We are taking the kids up north to the cabin and that means a three hour car ride. Not only that but it will be a FULL cabin this weekend with Todd’s folks there and his sister and her family. Oh boy!

    1. Hmmm…this is an idea. I’ll have to do that. More fun than the stuffy headshot!

I hoep you survived the last week…and the full cabin with the fam!

  12. Hello again, Krystyn! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. Oh my goodness, you ARE closer than I thought! I see you live in Marietta? That’s just WAY too cool! That being the case, YOU can stop by my house and snoop around in my closets too, LOL!

Hope you stop by my blog again sometime. I’ve been trying to get better about updating it…I use to do it daily. But you know how it is, life happens!

    Enjoy your weekend, NEIGHBOR!! 🙂

    1. Thanks, Dawn. I hope you had an awesome week! And, the more you do it, the easier it is to be regular about blogging.
