Jammin’ and Brushin’ #ToothTunes1D
For some reason, in our house, the idea of brushing your teeth, especially in the morning, when you are 6 and under is something to fight about. Every day.
I don’t get it. Who likes it when their mouth and breath taste like that?
Thankfully, Arm & Hammer has paired up with One Direction to make the kid friendly (sponsored)Â One Direction toothbrush.Â
It’s available in two different songs, “What Makes You Beautiful” and “One Thing” both performed by One Direction. Both of the songs play for a total of 2 minutes to excite them to brush longer and achieve the recommended brushing time.
Not only do the toothbrushes play the song, but they feature one of a kind Music in Your Mouth™ technology. What does this mean? They streams sound vibrations from the bristles of the toothbrush through the teeth, allowing kids to hear the music while they brush.
Now, the girls don’t only brush their teeth without whining (okay, that’s a fib, just not as much whining), but they often dance along while they are doing it. And, even though we only have one, the music seems to encourage the other sister to brush better and longer, too.Â

broxton has one and LOVES IT
We’ve had a couple….we had a Black Eyed Peas one that they loved, too.
These are so cool!!
My son is 5 and he also hates brushing his teeth so I will check into this as he loves music and it might stop some of the fighting and grumbling he does.
It definitely helps. The key is getting them to brush and not sing along!
This is such a great idea to keep children for brushing the necessary amount of time.
2 minutes does seem like forever to them when they aren’t a little “distracted!”
We actually have to have a variety of toothbrushes in our house (including our Tooth Tunes) to even stand a chance of getting teeth brushed with only a minor fight!
Seriously, why do they like their breath and mouth to taste like that? You’d think that would be motivation enough!
Anything that gets my son to brush longer, like this, is a brilliant idea!
No kidding! But seriously, why do they hate it so much?
I need to get Lucas a brush like this, just maybe not One Direction! But I think he would do better with something that plays a song and he knows he needs to brush for that long!
Surprisingly, he might like it…I bet he knows the song..it’s in so many commercials. But, there are tons of other songs, too. I know you could find one he knows.
If only we needed this toothbrush!! 11 months and still no teeth!!!
Never too early to start with the gums..although, I’d start with a softer one. We started way too late with our first (only one tooth right at a year) and I think that’s why she fights us so much.
I think I must be the only mom in the world that has to set a timer to get the kid to *stop* brushing her teeth. We’re still at the stage where she does it first then I do it a second time. I’d be waiting 15 minutes if she didn’t have a timer.
We still do a “brush up” for them! I could only wish for a stop timer!
How did you decide which daughter got the toothbrush…watch them start sharing. I really like whom ever came up with this concept a few years ago. I don’t sing happy birthday which is the recommended song to know how long to brush and am left wondering if I did a consistent job. Need them to make a Dave Matthews brush for me!
Boxing match….no, okay, really, I gave it to the middle because I had something in the works for the oldest.
But, I think the oldest has taken possession of it!
You know, they might make a DMB one:)
Toothbrushes have really changed over the years. These seem to be such a hit with kids! I’m sure I would have loved one when I was younger too.
what a cool idea! totally makes tooth brushing fun!
Wish I had one when I was a kid!
I think these are the coolest since…well ever!! they didn’t have when I was younger or my kids were younger but my grandkids sure would love to have these and would be dying to bruch their teeth 🙂 LOVE!!
