We’ve been in the process of cleaning and reorganizing our house for a month now. We had too much “stuff” and unused space. Our house isn’t that big, so we wanted to make the most of what we have (don’t go envisioning hoarders or anything like that…not that bad at all). Just things like my college computer, a small fridge and microwave and other things.
One of those “things” happens to be several boxes of old textbooks from college. You know, the ones you thought you wanted to keep, or the ones you couldn’t sell back because they published a newer one.
This is just ONE box of them. There are several others in the garage as well.
What I wish was around (or that I had known about) was a place to rental text books (with the chance to purchase them if you’d like).
What a great idea. There are many books that I was happy to keep (the ones for my major and minor), but the history ones? No thanks. I would have been happy to pay half of the cost to use it, even highlight it, and then send it back when the class was over and wipes my hands of it.
Additionally, they give back. They have partnered with Operation Smile in the year 2011 in donating over 1,000 surgeries to children in need! I appreciate a company that looks out for others and not just themselves.
So, the next time you or somebody you know needs a text book, direct them to Campus Book Rentals. And, let me know what you think.
*I will be sent a small gift as a way to say thank you for my review.
