Conference Fun?!?

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

For the two of you that read this, I know you have missed it terribly. I was at a conference in Orlando for the past week with extremely limited computer access. My apologies.

Check out this freaky border along the ceiling of our hotel. Look closely…

Do you see faces staring back at you? My roommate and I were quite disturbed by those looking back at us? Who thought this was such a great design? As a side-bar, this was our second, upgraded room, as our first room was dirty. The beds were disheveled and there were dirty towels on the floor. It was muggy and felt dirty. Gross. Our upgrade included a desk…whohoo! We really felt honored.

Speaking of great designs, check out this tourist gimmick.
An upside-down building that is right-side up. No idea who the people are standing in front of it, but notice that they are standing upright. The designers were really messing with our heads, but I don’t think they fooled us. Particularly enjoying is the fake FedEx box that they used to convince us of their amazing attention to detail. Whoever these architects were should have been consulted when creating the wall border in our hotel room.

  5. Can you really go in that building? What is it supossed to be (besides tacky)? I wonder if kids thinks it’s cool.

Ah conferences. . . I hope there was less excitement than the one at which Matt and I deemed ourselves “the badasses”. 😉

  6. I think this building was some sort of arcade. Didn’t go in though. Oddly enough, there was another building just like it a couple miles up the road.

Yes, much less excitement than your conference. My friend and I did get hit on by two guys in a bar though. They were male nurses, just like in Meet the Parents. We opted out of the drink.
