Keeping the grill sparkly #CrestSponsored

Yowza, you know that title is killing me. Six years of teaching with kids that called it their grill, I’m rolling with it.

But, seriously, my mouth is clean and sparkly and fresh. It’s always nice to hear the dentist tell you how much they appreciate your hygiene and that you have like zero plaque.

Back to school is a little different; a little more of the rushing, a little more of the crazy but we still have to take the time to take care of our smile. Brushing, flossing and mouth washing are constants. The Crest and Oral-B ProHealth Clinical Plaque Control make sure to stick to it.

I have to confess, I don’t floss everyday, even after my mom  told me she read a study that flossing is more important than brushing (if you have to pick between the two). But, when I do, I have to use the Glide. It’s the only type that does’t shred between my back teeth. Because nobody likes having to get new floss to floss the old floss out of their teeth (do you follow me)? I really like that it’s minty, too.

The toothpaste is extra minty which I like and really leaves my teeth feeling clean and fresh. I wish it had a little less baking soda as that taste seems to linger a little too long for my preference. It almost makes it taste sweet. And, pairing it with the toothbrush is nice. Mr. Serious enjoyed the toothbrush. I think the fact that the sides move independently (I tried to show it in the video), is really cool.

The mouthwash is great, too. It doesn’t have an alcoholy taste, but does have a peroxide taste to it (btw, don’t try to gargle with it, or you will appear to be foaming at the mouth). It does leave your mouth minty fresh without being too “spicy.” Even our 5 year old enjoys it and likes to have us smell her breath after using it.

Overall, minty-fresh breath and no cavities and very little plaque at the 6-month check up tell me they are working in my mouth.

  1. I haven’t tried their mouthwash yet, but it sounds like a definite “grocery list ” item in our house now! Thanks!
