Knock out the fat | George Foreman GRP4B Next Grilleration™ Review

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

We love the taste of grilled food.  What we don’t love?  Grilling when it’s 100 degrees outside.  And, we have a charcoal grill, so it takes forever.

So, we were thrilled to try out the  George Foreman GRP4B Next Grilleration™ Removable Plate Grill.  We can now grill indoors without the heat, without the bugs, and without the time!

George Foreman GRP4B Next Grilleration™ Removable Plate Grill Review

Previous to this, we had a single use (like 2 burgers) Foreman grill.  It worked perfectly, it just took a while to cook burgers or chicken for four.  So, the Family sized grill?  I was able to fix 5 chicken breasts at one time.

And, you can see the juices and little bit of fat dripping off from the chicken breast.

Look how easy it was to scrape what stuck to the grill right off.  And, an added bonus, is that I can remove the plates to make it easier to clean (and even put into the dishwasher).

Some features to note:
• Patented slope design
• Contact Grill
• George Tough™ non-stick coating lets you cook without adding butter and oil
•Grease tray collects the fat that drips
off the grill

Something I’d like to change: It didn’t seem like the plates got quite hot enough (despite allowing for preheating).  The meat didn’t really get sear marks on it.  Also, I cooked some zucchini on it (as I’ve done previously with our smaller grill), and it was really mushy and not seared.  I think if the plates got hotter, it would have fixed this.  (Maybe the removable plates are part of the problem).

George Forman Review

“New results of independent testing show that the George Foreman Grill removes up to 42% of fat from quarter-pound burgers made with 80/20 ground chuck beef, translating to a reduction of approximately 89 calories per burger!
