Mommy and Me Monday | Mother’s Day (The 64th Edition)
It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information.
Happy Mother’s Day! The day for us. Mr. Serious told the girls that today is all about mommy, because all the other days are about the kids. So true.
I was bought yummy french toast with strawberries (my favorite) in bed this morning and a sweet little handmade card.
We headed to church. Came home and had lunch and the best part of the day? Two girls took naps! Yay! That’s a pretty good gift to mommy.
We kept missing our chances to go strawberry picking, so I decided today was the day. Of course, I’m quite certain it was the hottest day of the year. My camera strap was soaked at the end of the day from sweat.
The pickings were pretty slim as most of the good strawberries were gone, but we still got some good ones. They were just small.
And, I kindly told requested that the girls take a picture with me. This was the best one. You should see the faces in the other ones. They were actually scowls.

#2 was obsessed with seeing the “strawberry on your knee” as she thought it was hilarious that I had kneeled on an overripe strawberry. I hope it wasn’t because she thought it hurt me. That wouldn’t be very nice!

After our picking, we came home, and Mr. Serious helped me get the berries ready for strawberry pie. Yes, I cooked on Mother’s Day. But, if you had homemade strawberry pie, you would probably do it, too! (This isn’t the pie I made today, but previously. This time I used a graham cracker crust. It’s a million times better!)

I absolutely love the pictures, your girls are so pretty like their momma! 🙂
Thank you son much!
We both had strawberries on the brain! haha. Love your site and I happy to be here. Thanks for hosting and hope you had a wonderful Mothers Day!

Didi you guys head over there? Did I mention they are closed on Saturdays because they are at the Farmer’s Market.
No yet, I wanted to go today but its chilly out and about to rain it looks like 🙁 Maybe they will still have some next weekend. If not I’ll hit up the farmers market
YUM! Now i want strawberries! My kids always refuse to look and smile – Evan’s always making silly faces.

Even though their faces don’t show it, I know they had a great time strawberry picking.
I love going berry picking and citrus picking. The pie looks amazing, even without the graham cracker crust.
