A Saturday Out | Mommy and Me Monday | 230th ed
I’m certain that school just got out. But, here we are with just three short weeks left until the “summer” is over and school is back in session. Not only will the oldest be going, but the second born will be starting Kindergarten, too.
So, we have to cram in as much summer fun as possible. The girls were at art camp and Camp Winshape this week, but we had to have some family fun, too.
This weekend, we drove up north as we were invited to come check out Main Event in Alpharetta.
Going on a Saturday morning was great. It wasn’t crowded so we were able to check everything out. We headed to the arcade area where there were games to be played with our FUNcards. There were games for all of us, including a little one for E to throw and kick balls, and one for Mr. Serious to arm wrestle (he won!). E and I tapped the lights on the light up wall and she quickly realized she needed help.
We did some bowling, too. The lanes are rented out by the hour instead of the game because there are a lot of different games that can be played besides traditional bowling. However, we did traditional bowling with the girls getting the bumpers put up when it was their turn. I probably should have requested the bumpers too! During our hour we had a couple potty breaks and we were almost able to complete the entire 10 frames with the 5 of us bowling. (B was bowling, too via my back!)
While in the bowling area, we also enjoyed a very tasty lunch. I was thrilled to discover they have a gluten free pizza crust, and I just ordered mine without cheese and had a tasty meal. They also had salads that would have worked, too. Mr. Serious had a delicious looking burger while the girls enjoyed chicken tenders with fries, a personal pizza and some quesadillas. Everything looked and tasted freshly made. Had we gone later in the day, we would have tried out some of their adult beverages from the bar.
A really cool feature for the 48” and taller crowd is the ropes course that goes above the arcade area. The oldest and I got harnessed up and hit the course. She did the whole thing without any assistance. I did three sections of it and decided that I’m too old and too nervous.
We didn’t check out the laser tag area (48” and taller), but it looked like a very fun area.
I imagine Main Event would be a blast for both a kid birthday party or an adult birthday party. I’ve also heard it’s a fun team building place for businesses, too.
Before we left, we grabbed pictures at the step and repeat…because who can pass up props on sticks?
Main Event Entertainment is now open in Alpharetta that will offer its unique “Eat.Bowl.Play.” experience. Inside, you can enjoy state-of-the-art bowling; multi-level laser tag; gravity ropes adventure courses; over 100 interactive, virtual and video games; regulation-size billiards; full service bars; quality dining experiences and free Wi-Fi access — all under one roof.
Thank you to Main Event Alpharetta for hosting us. All opinions are our own.
It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. **There really is only one requirement here, a picture of you and your baby or babies; your children, your “baby” (ie significant other) or even your fur babies. If your picture doesn’t feature you (meaning you must be in the picture), I will have to delete your link. It’s not fair to the others that follow the rules.**
I try to make sure and visit all of you and leave some comment love. Please spread the love! And, I never mind the comments, either:)
Looks like a BLAST!
My oldest went to a birthday party at Main Event and he can’t WAIT to go back. I guess we need to make a plan!
Looks like so much fun! I also can’t believe school starts back relatively soon. It’s crazy.
The ropes course is awesome! And what a way to build some muscle. That’s the most I’ve ever seen a bowling alley offer.
We LOVE Main Event!!!! It is so much fun and we stay for hours!
(We have been 3 times to the Alpharetta one already!)
You always have such fun events to go to. Looks like a good time.
