Right where I need to be | Mommy and Me Monday | 193rd ed
It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. Need another reason to participate in Mommy and Me Monday? Read my post about why I blog with words from a friends’ husband.
Tuesday afternoon, the fever started. She woke up really hot from her nap. An unusually long one. Wednesday, more fever. Thursday, she seemed to be on the mend, except the boogers. So I took her to mom’s morning out. She made it 40 minutes before I got a call to pick her up.
Friday she was a lot worse. Higher fever (like 102.4) and absolutely miserable. She wanted to be held or snuggled all day. So in between drop offs and bus stops and picks ups, this is pretty much all we did all day long.
I knew she wasn’t feeling good when her breathing changed and her body relaxed. I checked on my phone. Sure enough, she was out. I don’t even remember the last time this happened.
There was a total of three naps on me on Friday and one nap in her crib. Safe to say she wasn’t feeling well at all. I didn’t do much of anything Friday except sit with her. Fortunately, her sisters were great little helpers and did a lot of other little things so I could stay with her.
Saturday, was more of the same. She wasn’t quite as warm, but still very miserable and feeling yucky. She wanted and needed mommy. And I was glad to be there for her.
Finally, Sunday after her nap, I saw smiles. Smiles I hadn’t seen in several days. No more fever, but still a lot of snot.
I’m glad that everybody at our house was able to help out and keep things moving so that E could fight her bug and get on the mend. Fingers and toes crossed that it doesn’t hit anybody else.
**There really is only one requirement here, a picture of you and your baby or babies; your children, your “baby” (ie significant other) or even your fur babies. If your picture doesn’t feature you (meaning you must be in the picture), I will have to delete your link. It’s not fair to the others that follow the rules.**
I try to make sure and visit all of you and leave some comment love. Please spread the love! And, I never mind the comments, either:)
Poor little thing! Nothing is worse than a sick little one — so glad she’s feeling better!
Poor lover. I think Red had that same thing 2 weeks ago. His little ears pick up almost every cold he gets and turns them into ear infections.
I LOVE E’s little “pebbles” ponytail. So precious. Give her a hug from me and I hope ya’ll all stay well!
Poor little bug! I hate when the kids are sick – it’s even worse when they are so sick you don’t see the normally happy-go-lucky kid side. Happy to hear she’s on the mend and you were able to stay close by :).
I hate fevers – so scary and heartbreaking to see your babies like that. I’m glad everyone’s feeling better now!
I’m glad that those sweet smiles are back and little miss E is feeling better. I hope the rest of you don’t get it. Hugs, Grammy Lura
I tried to leave a comment earlier but I got the message that it wasn’t posted because it was waiting moderation???? I don’t know what that means??? I hope this one will post.
I’m sorry your precious E was sick but glad that you were there to hold and comfort her until her cute smiles came back. I hope that the rest of you remain well. Hugs, Grammy Lura
I am so glad she is feeling better! Fevers are awful on mommies and the kiddos.
What big girls I and N for helping mommy out.
Awwwww. I’m glad she is feeling better.
Sounds like we had a similar week. Max slept on me for days (honestly, I didn’t mind… he is past the point of wanting to sleep on mommy, so it made me feel good to have a few more moments of that). But, everyone is back to normal today!
Hope your household is back to normal, too!
I am SO glad she is feeling better. That smile of hers is priceless!
Glad she is feeling better
aww sorry the kiddo was sick but happy that she’s feeling better , our boys are going through the head colds now as well. It’s that time of year 🙂
I hope nobody else gets it and am glad she is feeling better. Pardon the pun, but she does have an infectious smile! 🙂
Thank you for hosting this linky! I hope my post is ok. I am in one of the pictures 🙂 I do love your idea of getting yourself in the picture, but that’s hard to do sometimes 🙂
I’m glad your little one is feeling better! It’s awful when the little ones are sick 🙁
Totally works! So glad you linked up.
I’m glad, too…I’m exhausted:)
I’m glad it works! Thank you!
I’ll bet you’re exhausted! Don’t forget to take care of yourself so you don’t get sick now too!
Oh man those are the tough days and the days that remind us why we love being mothers! Glad she is feeling a little better!!
I love the title of this post. So glad you’re there for her and all the girls
oh my goodness!! bless her heart!! she looked miserable!! sooo happy she is back to her smiley happy self 🙂
That first smile after sickness is always so precious!
Awww, poor little sweetie! She doesn’t look like she’s feeling that spectacular at all. I hope she’s all better!
Oh no poor little girl! I hope she feels better very soon!
Oh poor baby!! I’m glad she is finally feeling better.. Sometimes there is no better medicine than mommy!!
Glad to see she’s feeling better! I hate it when the kids are sick.
Wow, her little body really needed to shut down in order to fight those nasties off. Poor little thing!
It’s so hard when our little ones are sick. I’m glad she was able to rest up and is starting to feel better! Hope the rest of you escape this one!
Poor baby! They are so helpless when they are sick and so small. Of course that makes me love them even more with all the snuggle time I get! Glad she is feeling better!
Awhh poor thing. I hate when my little ones get sick. I’m glad she’s on the mend.
Awe poor little girl. There’s nothing that makes me feel powerless when my little ones get sick…but I also just love how they fold into me with the hugs {sigh}, it won’t last too much longer…
Take care!
glad to see she is feeling better… maybe she just needed extra love and snuggles from her mommy 🙂
Glad she’s better and no one else got sick.
A.J. managed to get hand, foot and mouth – for the second time.
So all week we’ve been dealing with fevers, snot and now sores on his mouth and hands.
