Another date night? What! What! {giveaway, too!}

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

Yep, you read that right. Two date nights within one month. It’s totally unheard of.

As soon as we learned my parents were visiting, we put it on the books. We weren’t going to do nothing for our anniversary again.

(Can I just say how handsome my hubby looks here? Yep. Damn handsome. And all mine!)

Shabby Apple

I even called and made us very tightly scheduled reservations for dinner (on account of E not taking bottles). So I fed her, put her to bed, got dressed quickly (in the beautiful Tea Time dress), stopped to get a nice picture to document it and we were out the door.

It was super nice in the car on the way there (despite it being like 30 degrees outside. You can take the girl out of Texas, but you can’t take the Texas out of the girl…Brrrrr). But we made it to our reservation literally at the right minute! Whew.

We had a nice grown up sushi dinner and ignored counting calories for one night. Then, we texted the parents to let them know we were going to extend the date night and hit up the movies. And we learned that wasn’t happening. Poor E had been crying and screaming since we left and was inconsolable. I was thankful that they didn’t call and let us know so we had an enjoyable dinner, but a little bummed that our movie date didn’t happen. After all, I don’t even remember the last time we went to the movies together. Another time.

Another time to wear that pretty dress and feel like a grown up! The dress was a nice fit. I actually ordered this size, it wasn’t in stock, so I got the smaller one and well, had to send it back (the shoulders were too tight). The exchange was painless. I went to Shabby Apple, printed out a return label and dropped it in the mail at no expense. The sizing chart is very spot on. So, I patiently waited for the right size to come in which wasn’t long at all) and it fit much better (with more wiggle room and no fear of splitting a seam when raising my arms over my head). Of course, the hubby thought I looked hot, too. So, totally a win! They also have a blue one which is totally gorgeous!

*I received the dress to facilitate my review. All thoughts are my own. Everybody is eligible for free exchanges.
