We received this email yesterday.  But, I’m not sure what to make of it.

Subject: Dress Code for Monday December 13- December 17th.

From: The Principal

Everyone in the building must be fully clothed.
Happy Holidays!
Hmm…not even sure what to make of that one.  What does that mean to you?  Well, besides the obvious that you must be fully clothed!

  1. I would take it as wear what you want as long as it covers your body! If that’s the case I would wear pj’s ALL week!!!!! 😉

  2. Yes, i think they mean feel free to wear whatever you like–just be fully clothed! Nice! You could sport Christmas Jammers all week!

  3. I would show up with the worst looking Christmas sweater on Monday. Make a statement! I wish our principal would send something out like that. I would be rolling out of bed and heading to work that way.

  5. The only thing I can think, if your school does anything like ours, kindergarten watches Polar Express and wears their pjs…maybe he doesn’t want the teachers wearing theirs as well? I know ours do and they dress fully clothed in them…but maybe he’s worried abuot some slinky ensembles?

I’d love to hear an update on this if you get some clarification!

  6. I’m hoping that maybe there was some information above that and he accidentally deleted it prior to sending out the email. No…? Other than that, I’m stumped, but I advise you to wear clothes.

  7. I suppose someone forgot their clothes one day. What a laugh!

  8. Is it okay to be a bit more than mildly concerned about that memo? Not sure I’ve ever received or had to send that one out before!

although, I did drive home the other day past the elementary school and see two girls standing in line for the bus with skirts and shoes but no leggings or tights on their little legs! Poor things, standing out in the 20 degree cold with bare legs! maybe that’s what he means!

  11. Hm, obviously some people were wandering around totally nekkid! Be glad you didn’t run into them! 🙂

  12. LOL!! I think it means that you have to wear clothes to work those days (duh!), but after that feel free to show up naked to work if you want!! Too funny!
