I have a smoothie every morning for breakfast before heading to the gym. I’m always searching for things to add to my smoothie to give me some additional nutrients. If you are looking for ideas for smoothie add-ins that provide a nutrient boost, I’ve compiled some of my favorites.
Smoothie Add-Ins That Provide a Nutrient Boost
Depending on what nutrients you want to add to your smoothie will determine your nutrient-boosting choices. There are multiple ingredient choices for getting the nutrition you need, so mix and match until the flavor is just right for you. And, it’s good to start with a nice smoothie base consisting of some liquid (I prefer almond milk) and some fruit (fresh, frozen or both). If you are looking for a recipe, I’ve compiled quite the list of delicious banana-free smoothies (yes, mine won’t have bananas in them, but yes, they are good for you!) Make sure you read your nutrition labels as this list isn’t inclusive of all nutrients nor serving sizes.

By adding Nature Made vitamin C from Walmart, I’m able to help support my immune system.
