A Mommy-full week | Mommy and Me Monday | 333rd ed
You know when you plan things, but don’t really think them all the way through? Please don’t say that’s just me!
This week, I scheduled the oldest two for afternoon camp at the YMCA. The same one that I go to in the mornings for my workout. But, we wouldn’t have enough time to go home and eat lunch before going back. Even if we stayed home all morning, that would have meant lunch at like 10:30 and that’s not cool. So, we had to be flexible. We had a little extra dining out cash left for the month, so we fit some treats in. It’s safe to say they were thrilled with it. And, I went home and had yummy leftovers I cooked the previous night.
My the middle of the week, we were packing lunches and picnicking on the lawn between the YMCA and the library. I only had to pull one tick off of B’s head. I hope that was all of them! EWWWWW!

Mr. Serious was out of town for part of the week and the weekend, too, so there was A WHOLE LOT OF TOGETHERNESS! I have mad respect for single parents and parents with spouses deployed or traveling. I don’t know how you do it all the time. It’s exhausting! I mean it’s exhausting in general and I wouldn’t have it any other way, but whew!!! I’m glad he’s back home!

Since we’ve been going, going, going so much, we didn’t end up planning anything for the 4th, so we’ll just be hanging out and home yelling at people for shooting off fireworks too late. Or sleeping. Probably sleeping. I hope you and your family have a very fun, safe and happy fourth. I’m grateful to all those who have served or are serving to keep our country free.
What were you up to this week?
Since the button code stopped working many moons ago, I took it out. But, if you are adding your link to my link list, please, as a courtesy, add a link back to my site so people can explain and link up themselves if they’d like. After all, that’s the point of the link up!
It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. I was kidless this weekend. It was so empty and quiet in the house. While it’s nice for a little while, you realize how much you miss the chaos pretty fast. I’ll be solo parenting this weekend while my husband goes on Mancation. Any pointers?
What a smart idea to get a kid-free weekend the weekend before! Stay busy. Seriously, super busy. Like no downtime except sleeping. I also found them playing together much better when they didn’t get as much screen time, so they had a radio and CD player and had a great time with that.
And, don’t be surprised if you don’t want to do anything else after 8pm. I seriously don’t know how single parents do it all the time.
