Funny Face Dried Cranberries Review and Giveaway

Our middle daughter has been all about the dried cranberries lately. But, the last time I picked some up, I noticed the had a ton of sugar added to them. Pretty much cancels out the fact that they are fruit and makes them more like candy. No thanks.

Then, I was introduced to Funny Face Dried Cranberries.

They are fruit flavored dried cranberries with  1/2 the sugar, 5 times the fiber and 1/3 less calories than the sweetened dried cranberries I previously purchased. They come in 4 different flavors: grape, raspberry, cherry and strawberry, with each one having it’s own “funny face”; Rootin’ Tootin’ Raspberry, Choo Choo Cherry, Freckle Face Strawberry and Goofy Grape. While I didn’t get to try Freckle Face Strawberry, the name sure is my favorite.

We tried the grape and the raspberry. For having less sugar, they were surprisingly still sweet and had a kick of their flavor while having some cranberry flavor. They didn’t have the tart cranberry taste, though. (I sort of like the tartness, but these were different and good in their own way).

I wanted to use these in some breakfast cookies, but I didn’t get a chance before they were gone. I did however put them in my oatmeal in the morning and they were quite tasty! 

Right now, you can find Funny Face via select retail chains in Northern California, Chicago, Pennsylvania, New England and on Amazon.
