Getting them to move: Dancing to Disney #JDDisney

Just Dance Disney

It’s getting colder here (yes, I know, not that cold, but we are in the South)…so the girls aren’t getting as much outside play time at school (or at home with a sister napping).

Fortunately, we have the Wii and the Just Dance Games. They have presented the girls with a lot of entertainment and more importantly, movement (apparently, shoeless and possibly sockless is best to feel the floor and get your groove on)!

Just Dance Disney

They’ve already had a lot of practice with Just Dance 4, so they are well versed it picking the songs, dancing and more (including fighting over who gets to be player one and make the selections).

The girls really like to put it on continuous mode where it just goes through the songs in a cycle. Of course they have favorites, “That’s How You Know” and “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” in case you were wondering and of course  “S.I.M.P. (Squirrels In My Pants)” is guaranteed to make the girls giggle!

The Disney Dance party games are much easier for our 4 and 6 year olds than the Just Dance 4 game. They have a lot more repetition of the moves within a song and it helps that they know quite a few of the songs. It’s also great that we can play along (up to 4 players) and get the whole family moving. The movements are also simpler than the games that are geared for older kids and adults.
