Happy one month, B!

Dear B,

I was just telling daddy the other day that I can’t believe it’s already been a month since your birth. It’s gone by so fast, and yet feels like you’ve been here all along. 

At one month old, there isn’t much that you do. You do enjoy a nice snuggly nap with mommy, but it doesn’t happen often enough. So, I try to snuggle you whenever I get a chance. I know you will be 18 before I know it.

Daddy’s going to be embarrassed I’m writing this, but you still haven’t had a first proper bath. You aren’t nearly as peely as your sisters were, so I’m chalking it up to leaving all of that vernix on you. It only took me four kids to get that right!

This is your official one month picture. It was snapped late at night on your actual one month birthday, January 29th. I hope I’ll do better next month, but this month, our city was pretty much shut down and daddy was stranded, and well, I was stranded at home with you and your sisters and this was all I could remember to do.

Speaking of your sisters, they are over-the-moon in love with you. They all want to hold you, kiss you and hug you whenever they can. And, especially sweet E. For the first couple weeks, you were “baby, baby” but now, she says your name. However, it comes out sounding like Beaches….or maybe Peaches. We can’t decide but we love it.

You are very strong and try to hold your head up whenever you can. You like to see what’s going on (you are nosey, just like your sisters) and don’t want to miss anything.

I think you might have really smiled at me once or twice. The official jury is still out, but I know what I saw.
