Keeping my “Gut” Healthy
I always knew that probiotics were important. My mom stressed making sure I ate yogurt when I took antibiotics or when I give it to the girls. It’s important because antibiotics (along with other things like hormones) can disrupt the good bacteria, or flora, in your “gut.” That disruption leads to a lot of, um, uncomfortable things. I’ve also read that your gut is the gateway to your immune system, so a happy gut=healthy mom!
So, I take them. But, the thing is, I got some that were generics and I couldn’t swallow them. Like every time, I chocked and gagged and thought I was going to need the Heimlich maneuver. Which meant I wasn’t so good at taking them.
