Mystery Reader with E and B | Mommy and Me Monday | 413th ed

This week was full of planned and unplanned school trips. All for good cause, thank goodness. With B’s Winter Break birthday, her teacher requested that we celebrate after the break. She had been talking about it for weeks! And then the school district ended up canceling school for the threat of bad weather. There wasn’t any.

She asked for donut holes for her birthday treat so I picked some up before arriving.

Thankfully, we moved the school birthday celebration back one day and I joined her for some birthday singing and celebrating (she introduced me to her class “this is Krystyn”) and book  reading. One of her favorites is The Book with No Pictures. Her class had a serious case of the wiggles, but they enjoyed being read to by a guest.

Later that week (Thursday) we were invited to celebrate our Terrific Kid, E. Without much notice, but I made it work and we arrived at 7:45 Friday morning for her donuts and juice celebration. She was pretty proud.

I had already planned on coming in later that morning for Mystery Reader for her class, and B joined us. Again, we picked The Book with No Pictures and also The Way I Feel. The kids in the Kindergarten class really enjoyed both of them.

However, B was completely against a picture with us, so she hid. Because that’s newly minted 4 year olds do!

Here’s hoping that Monday is our only day off of school this week (MLK day) and we get some semblance of a routine before our school break next month!

    1. B knew I was coming, but E was very surprised. And also, couldn’t stop touching me!

  1. I still remember the days when my mom would surprise me at school – those memories last forever! Plus, side note, how lucky are you to be blessed with redheaded babies! They’re the cutest, I love how shy your little one is – my baby cousin is the same.

    1. I hope they remember! It was a crazy day.

Yes, very blessed with these girls..and she’s not really shy, she just thinks it’s cute to act that way. Stinker!
