Money, money, money

We were blessed with a Fall Break this year. Of course it has it’s pros and cons. One of those pros was that we were able to head out during the week to do something fun.

We were given tickets to the Children’s Museum so the girls and I popped in for a bit. Yes, me alone with three kids in a public place. My head was constantly on a swivel and constantly counting to myself 1-2-3.

Every area of the museum was seen by the Serious girls, but not all were photographed…you know, living in the moment and all.

We had to check out the new Money exhibit. I think we were the first group of people back there because it wasn’t crowded at all at first. They played in the market. They played with the oversized coins. They counted real money. And, they learned about the real cost of credit (yes, hard to explain to an almost 5 year old, but since we practice what we preach with Dave Ramsey planning, we hope they will understand it one day).

Of course, we had to take a little fishing trip which brought a ton of smiles when a little magnetic fish was captured.

And, we had to play dress up with the scarves, which to our girls look like shirts and skirts. With no outfit being complete without a construction or firefighters hat. We always seem to end our visit at the ball area. There are so many things going on and so many ways for the girls to interact that they all have a fun time. Once again, though, my head was on a constant swivel making sure all children were accounted for.

We all had a great time. And more importantly, after our morning adventure, all three girls took naps! That alone makes it a total win for me.

We received tickets to the museum. All thoughts are my own.
