It’s getting cold here. Well, except this weekend, but last week, it was cold (don’t make fun of this Texas turned Georgia girl saying that 30 is cold). So, it was time to get out our jackets, hats and scarves.
Man, these kids grow, too. Every year, I think I’m doing good getting their jackets a size up, and then, the next year gets here and they don’t fit!
I was thrilled that Rothschild Kids came out with a new line and asked us to test out a new jacket. We received the Funky Color Block Active Jacket in eggplant. It is bright and colorful and fun! Added bonuses when I’m constantly fighting with the girls to keep their jackets on.
It comes with an adorable coordinating scarf and hat. Honestly, those were the first biggest hit! The wrists feature adjustable half cinch cuffs to help keep the cold air out and keep them snug on their wrist, with or without gloves. And, of course, it is wind and water resistant, a necessity for kids jackets.
But, it also features a fleece-lined removable hood that you can either wear with the hat or alone, or remove it if you aren’t a hood person. And, some embroidery on both the sleeve and the back. This part isn’t my favorite. I always find that embroidery on kids clothing items that get a lot of wear tends to start to get fuzzy and shred. It hasn’t happened with the jacket yet, so I’m cautiously optimistic.
Since my daughter doesn’t like to zip her coat (at least inside), here’s what the front looks like when it’s all zipped up.
It’s a very nice looking jacket and very warm. And, here’s hoping this large (6X) just might fit next year. If not, we know there are two little sisters that will eventually get to wear it!
