Broadcasters for Babies | March of Dimes Event |Atlanta
I know so many people/families and children that have benefitted from the services of the March of Dimes. Either through their research, or directly in the NICU at hospitals in the area.
This weekend, at local Simon Malls, they will host Atlanta’s largest radio fundraiser..and it’s benefitting the March of Dimes Georgia Chapter.
On August 6-7, there will be a cooperative effort between more than twenty radio stations in the Atlanta area and stores and shoppers at Lenox Square, Mall of Georgia and Town Center at Cobb. They will broadcast live from the malls to help fun March of Dimes research and programs. Did you know that the March of Dimes research is why we know we need folic acid during our child bearing years to help prevent birth defects as well as other research aimed at preventing prematurity and infant mortality?
In addition to the fundraiser, at the three malls, there will also be a fashion show featuring children that have all benefitted from the March of Dimes services. The Purple It! Fashion Show will be at all three malls on August 7 at 3 p.m. The Fashion Show at Lenox Square, presented by Macy’s, will feature the latest in maternity wear and children’s clothes as well.

I didn’t receive anything for this post. I just think it’s a great opportunity to give to March of Dimes, and get a discount as well. Win-win, right? I did go to a meeting with more information and I ate a strawberry shortcake, but there was no expectation for anything else from me.
Thank you for posting about this! My niece was born three months premature and the March of Dimes remain close to our hearts. We actually we to a March of Dimes even last night at the St. Louis Cardinals game. I hope they are successful this weekend!
