the first day (only 2.5 weeks late)

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

the first day of kindergarten (as compared to the first day of pre-K).  mommy and daddy both took you.  you were ready.  you’ve been talking about it for months.

you were reunited with some of your friends that were in the other class last year, and that thrilled you, too.

you’ve been doing so well.  you counted past 100 today.  i didn’t know you could do that.  you wrote a note that says “i love you, mommy and daddy and n.”  swoon.  you wrote all of your alphabet upper and lowercase and you keep writing these things you call macrons and breves (and it just took me 10 minutes to find those words).  mommy doesn’t remember learning this, that’s for sure.

iz, mommy and daddy are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings.

I am so proud of you at how smart you are with your counting and writing.
(And mommy, I don’t know what those words mean either… I think the macron is the line over the vowel, but have no idea what the other one is.)
I’m sure she will do just marvelously having such supportive parents like you.
    HUGGLES!

    1. It’s the other symbol over vowels…one is for short and one is for long!

Thank you! I know first hand how important it is to have supportive and involved parents at home.

  13. What an adorable first day of school photos. I love comparing them each year too. We’ve had several teachers take photos on the first day and the last day as a gift to the parents. It is amazing how 9 months can change them so!

    1. I don’t think I even thought to take a picture on the last day of school..that would have been huge!
