I remember seeing Aladdin in the theater. I remember singing the songs all the way home. We even played the songs in middle school along with the high school band (“Friend Like Me” if you are curious). We had Aladdin on VHS and watched it in the car with a small TV that plugged into the lighter on road trips.

My sister and I have quite a few memories with that movie. We even froze the VHS in the player and had to get it “surgically” removed and lost the first couple minutes of the movie. Thankfully, we had it memorized, so it wasn’t a huge concern.

My girls had yet to see the movie until we were send a preview of it. They loved it! Even E, the three year old told me all about mean Jafar and his mean parrot…it was hilarious to hear her telling me.

Of course, the oldest two are in love with Jasmine, but they never had any context with her story, either, but now they do.

Now you can enjoy Disney’s beloved masterpiece Aladdin, a timeless adventure for the whole family that will make your heart race and your spirit soar. This magic carpet ride of non-stop comedy is already on Digital HD and DMA and will be on Blu-ray Combo Pack October 13th. You won’t want to miss out hearing Academy Award®-winning music (1992: Best Music, Original Song, “A Whole New World,” Original Score) for the first time on Blu-ray and Digital HD. And now Aladdin shines even brighter with never-before-seen tributes to the enchanting talent of Robin Williams, the “Genius behind the Genie”.
