YourMechanic comes right to You

Have you ever wanted a mechanic that would come to YOU? YourMechanic is exactly what I’ve always needed but never knew existed. No more carefully figuring out how to get to the shop between carpool drop off and pick up, or waiting for the weekend and sitting in the waiting area. It’s something I really don’t like using my precious time on….waiting.

After a recent trip to the auto parts store, I learned about mechanics that will come to me! They can come to my house, or Mr. Serious’ work, or where ever we need them.

You can use their website or app to schedule maintenance or even a service job for car trouble. All from the comfort of, well, wherever you are comfortable.

I scheduled their back to school special: oil change, tire rotation and 50-point inspection service. I picked a Saturday afternoon when I knew Mr. Serious would be running some errands and I would be home with the kiddos. I was able to create my account, and look right at the calendar to determine the date and time my mechanic would be to me.

YourMechanic takes care of the screening of the mechanics and warranties all of their service. They also tell you the price up front so you don’t have to worry about YourMechanic showing up and trying to collect more money.

I also received a couple reminders about my appointment. Then, on the day of my scheduled service, I received a text message reminder, and a text message when my mechanic was on his way, complete with tracking! Before I knew it, my mechanic was here assessing my vehicle and doing the 50-point inspection (it turns out my brake fluid is brown…I need to schedule another service).

Then, he put the van up, and got on with the oil change paying careful attention to any mess and containing it all. There wasn’t a drop of oil on the driveway.

Once the oil change was done, my tires were rotated to make sure they wear more evenly. We actually had just bought new tires and when we did, we found out the previous place I had been paying for tire rotations likely wasn’t doing them.

I really like that I can watch my vehicle being worked on. I can ask questions and I can see that the things I’m paying for are actually happening. (Yes, I’m the usual skeptic). YourMechanic is definitely a service I will continue to use to save me time, and money!
