You know that moment when you look in the mirror and realize, “When did I stop looking 21?” Yeah, that moment hit me. I looked in the mirror and realized I’m looking older. I’m getting wrinkles more and more and starting to have creases in random places like behind my ears. I know it’s inevitable, but when the reality sets in, it’s a different ball game. Sure, some of it is due to not taking care of my skin (because everybody always told me how young I looked and I didn’t want to look young!). Now regret sets in and I have to go back to taking care of my skin.

I’ve gathered 10 of the best anti-aging tips for my face and skin so I can go back to getting IDed when I’m out at a restaurant!

1. Drink all of the water

I’m good about drinking water and that’s what I drink most days, but our body and skin are mostly made up of water. I need to be getting what my body needs and deserves.

2. Eat healthy foods

You are what you eat, so make it count. Healthy foods with vitamins and nutrients are what your body craves. Give it what it wants. If those foods are high in water, you get a 1-2 punch for your body.

3. Exercise Regularly

Get those 30 minutes of exercise everyday. Or walk those 10,000 steps. Get your blood pumping and sweat going. You skin and body will thank you!

4. Wash your face regularly

You need to remove gunk and grime and everything that sits on your skin. Find a gentle wash and use it regularly.

5. Use sunscreen/sunblock

I’m so not good at this one. Put on sunblock everyday. Sun and skin aren’t a good mix (okay, well, we need some of it daily to get our vitamin D, but not what we are getting). I need to do better about this because I don’t wear makeup so I don’t get my sunblock in that way, either.

6. Don’t smoke

This is an easy one. Don’t smoke. It’s so bad for you for a number of reasons, and your skin wrinkling is just one of them. JUST. DON’T. SMOKE!

7. Rest

Your cells and body heal and regenerate when you are sleeping. Make sure you are getting enough so your body can take care of itself and do what it’s supposed to do.

8. Exfoliate

I don’t do this often because I have delicate skin. About once a week, a gentle exfoliant is good to take off those dead skin cells and reveal the nice new fresh ones.

9. Wear sunglasses/hats

While sunblock is good, if you aren’t wearing a hat and/or sunglasses, you are likely squinting outside. Squinting and furrowing your brow will increase those wrinkles and make you look older. Keep the shade on your face.

So, that’s what I did because I follow the rules. I really like how these feel on my skin. They are lightweight, smooth, and don’t seem to have a smell (I don’t like my face smelling like some strange flower!).     first off I Didn’t even notice mr. serious’ shirt issue until you pointed it out. Momma milkshake gave me some fractioned coconut oil. I use that on my face every evening. I use sunscreen lotion every morning. Anything to prevent wrinkles is good.

  35. I’ve been using my own concoctions, mostly with organic shea butter, almond oil, essential oil. Sometimes add other ingredients like coconut oil. It works good, and sure smells nice! I still like using nice products like this, as I’m spoiled to use anything not made with good ingredients.

    I liked how you mentioned that taking overall care for your body can really help you prevent the aging of the skin. Being able to prevent aging is almost impossible, but preventing the wrinkles and how quickly your age appearance goes downhill is up to you. The best therapy for your skin is perhaps some good treatments on your part and a treatment facility if you are really dedicated.
