Busy, busy | Mommy and Me Monday | 227th ed

Y’all. Let’s real talk for a minute. Life.Is.Not.Slowing.Down.

I feel like everything is flying by. I’ve got kids that can add and spell. I’ve got one that used the potty at church. And one that is rolling and “talking” and trying to sit up. Everyday I look at them and I swear they are changing before my eyes.

With camps, and VBSs and summer activities, we are running all over the city. It’s good for all of us. It keeps us on our toes. But, my poor B isn’t getting a schedule at all. I just keeping thinking “It’s only a couple more weeks of summer and things will settle down and she’ll get to sleep when she needs to!”

In the meantime, when she’s fussy and it’s not quite time to go do a pick up or drop off, she gets to snuggle up with mommy. And, E likes to let her know that she’s “riding mommy’s front” or “ride on mommy’s back.”

Wearing my baby

Those are the moments that I have to stop and appreciate it all. Because I will blink and she will be talking and spelling and done with her adorable diapers.

{If you’ll excuse me, I have to resist all temptation to go upstairs and scoop her up and kiss her!}

It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids.  Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. Need another reason to participate in Mommy and Me Monday? Mommy and Me Monday at Really, Are You Serious?

**There really is only one requirement here, a picture of you and your baby or babies; your children, your “baby” (ie significant other) or even your fur babies. If your picture doesn’t feature you (meaning you must be in the picture), I will have to delete your link. It’s not fair to the others that follow the rules.**

I try to make sure and visit all of you and leave some comment love.  Please spread the love!  And, I never mind the comments, either:)

  1. I feel the same way. I can’t believe how quickly they’re growing up and all my plans for summer fun are almost over because summer is half over. We’re traveling 3 weeks in July, so we really had a short summer home to do cool things. 🙁

    I’m glad that you appreciate these special moments now because you are right…. they do disappear way too soon. Have a great week. Hugs, Grammy Lura

  3. Go scoop her up and kiss her! Logan has a bad cough (maybe it’s the new room, maybe it’s becuase we didn’t use her nose spray–not sure) and was coughing last night for a while. She wasn’t fussing or anything, but we could tell she couldn’t get comfy and needed to be more upright. The Hubs held her for 2 hours, and when he came down he told me how much he loved it. She doesn’t snuggle much anymore since she wants to be on the go, so we savor every snuggling moment. So glad you were able to do the same with B.

  4. She is so sweet and super snuggly! Poor Andrew is getting dragged around everywhere too. We are off to soccer in a few minutes, in fact!

  9. Yes, cherish those moments you can hold/carry your baby close to you! They grow up fast!

  10. Cute picture what an adorable baby! It is a whirlwind just to read your post – dizzying keeping up to all their summer fun! When I was little we just played outside – there was no extra car to go anywhere until Dad was home, and then we ate supper and played outside again until dark! How different it is now to be a mommy!

    1. I totally know what you mean! It’s very different than when I was growing up, too! We are very blessed to be able to do these things and have an extra car, for sure.
