Cruisetastic Mommy and Me Monday | 330th ed
If you’ve missed it on Facebook, or Instagram or Snapchat (@SeriousKrystyn), then you might not know that right now we are in the middle of the Carribean, in route to the Dominican Republic (if you missed it, make sure you are following there). This will be my second country this year (but apparently, we don’t get a passport stamp when you come via cruise).
Thanks to an amazing partnership with Carnival Cruise line, my family and I are on a 7 night cruise. Trust me when I saw if you asked me a year ago if I’d get on a cruise ship, the answer would have been no. Or actually NOOOO! But, here I am and I’m not sick, but I can feel the boat moving.
We split the drive down to Port Canaveral into two days so we weren’t rushed or having anxiety about getting to the boat before it left port. This was on the way to our halfway point.
Right before we got on the ship, I asked the girls for an us-ie. Three out of four obliged.
There aren’t rooms that hold 6 people, so I’m in a room with this little munchkin and her sister. E wanted a picture while we were still in port (you can see the front of a Disney ship in the background.
B slept in bed with me once in a blue moon when she was very tiny. Otherwise it was a party. We brought a PeaPod for her to sleep in to save us room. Apparently, that thing is possessed and the only way she can sleep is touching me. Â Or laying on me. After staying up late the previous day, she was crashing hard, so we came back to the room during send off and got in a nap. Yes, she slept like this. No, I did not!
I’m rocking my first sunburn already, but we are all having a great time figuring out where everything is and trying new foods. If you have any cruise questions, please ask because I probably had them or have them and I’d love to find the answers! Tomorrow (Monday) is our first port day and the husband and I are having a date excursion! Woohoo!
What were you up to this week?
Since the button code stopped working many moons ago, I took it out. But, if you are adding your link to my link list, please, as a courtesy, add a link back to my site so people can explain and link up themselves if they’d like. After all, that’s the point of the link up!
It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. I am very glad to hear you aren’t feeling sea sickness. I was concerned. Looks like you are all having fun.
How awesome that you’re on a cruise with your whole family! My husband and I were lucky enough to go on a cruise to the Bahamas a couple of years ago and I’d love to go again when our son is older.
It really was a fun time! Now I want to go with just the hubby!
I’ve been following all the photos! It looks SO beautiful! 🙂
I loved seeing your photos on Facebook. Sounds like a great time was had!
