Father’s Day Edition of Mommy and Me Monday | 331st ed
We are home now, despite the fact that I feel like I’m still moving. With a 7-night vacation (8 if you count our drive halfway to the port before leaving), there is going to be a lot to tell you all about! We learned a lot, had fun a lot, ate a lot and overall had a great time on the cruise. We are grateful for Carnival hosting us on the cruise and that we were able to purchase our own excursions and other extras along the way.
Confession. We got home at about 6:30 last night (it took us about 10 hours for what should have been an 8 hour drive) to get home. We had planned zero for Father’s Day. The oldest two were great about writing a poem and drawing a picture, but I made a last minute run to the store for a couple gift cards. But, he did get to spend over a week with all of us, so that’s a pretty good present, right?
As a second gift, Mommy and Me Monday will be Daddy and Me Monday this week.
When we started dating at the ripe age of 16, I don’t think we ever knew what was in store for us. When we hit college, my advisor asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I knew one thing. I wanted to be a mom. And, I was pretty sure I wanted this guy to be the dad. Thankfully, he was on board.

He’s a the best dad I could have imagined for our girls. Really and truly. And, I know this because the ones I grew up with were the exact opposite. So, I know a good one when I see one! Mr. Serious is the real deal. He’s loving, caring, supportive and puts God first in his life. He knows how lucky he is to have so many females in his life, despite what society and so many people try to tel him.
We are blessed to have him.

If only the 9 year old could acknowledge that when trying to take a picture…
He let the two year old sit on his lap during dinners in the dining room on the ship because 1.5-2 hour dinners were a bit much. Despite how it looks here, she was not sleeping during dinner.
He let’s us all know how much he loves us every day and I’m so grateful for that. Plus, I have to attribute some of their cuteness and good looks to him, too!
10 years ago on that very first Father’s Day when there was a cantaloupe-sized baby growing inside me, I never imagined this is where we would be. I wouldn’t trade it for anything and I’m so glad we are on this journey together.
Happy Father’s Day, Mr. Serious! We love you!
What were you up to this week?
Since the button code stopped working many moons ago, I took it out. But, if you are adding your link to my link list, please, as a courtesy, add a link back to my site so people can explain and link up themselves if they’d like. After all, that’s the point of the link up!
