Easter Mommy and Me Monday | The 268th ed.
Sunday morning after getting home from church, I came downstairs and asked my girls one simple question.
“Who wants to do something to make mommy happy?”
They all said “me” and were jumping up and down excited.
Then, I was greeted with some reluctance: “Does it mean folding laundry? or Helping with the diapers? or Doing Dishes?”
No, I told them.
I just wanted everybody together for a family picture.
Thanks to a tripod (which I think I want to exchange because it wiggles way too much) and remote shutter AND some willing family members, I got my wish!
With them not having much patience, I editing up doing a lot of editing after the fact to lighten it up so the colors are pretty blown out. But, I’d much rather have a blown-out over-exposed picture than none at all!
Happy Easter! We hope you had a great week. It’s Spring Break here and we have zero plans…so…we’ll see how that goes!
Since the button code stopped working many moons ago, I took it out. But, if you are adding your link to my link list, please, as a courtesy, add a link back to my site so people can explain and link up themselves if they’d like. After all, that’s the point of the link up!
It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. Need another reason to participate in Mommy and Me Monday? Read my post about why I blog with words from a friends’ husband.
**There really is only one requirement here, a picture of you and your baby or babies; your children, your “baby” (ie significant other) or even your fur babies. If your picture doesn’t feature you (meaning you must be in the picture), I will have to delete your link. It’s not fair to the others that follow the rules.*
What a fantastic photo! I wish my son would be more willing to take a decent photo to make me happy. 😉
Love this picture. See, I told you the garage or part of the house would be a great back drop! I am upset..I told David like 10 times I wanted to take a family picture. We have a tripod AND hadpeople over willing to take a family picture and we never got one. *sigh* Maybe we can for Easter 2016.
and they were all looking at the camera – win win
I love the photo! And everyone is looking! Double win! 🙂 <3 Ya'll are adorable.
This picture makes me happy for some inexplicable reason.
Such an adorable picture! Everyone is smiling and everything.
I hope you all had a nice Easter!!
I think the picture came out great! I had to do a lot of editing, too, mostly just to lighten up the pictures because we had gratuitous amounts of shadow going on.
Agree that any photo is better than none! I need to get a tripod. Usually just use a chair or table or whatever. I had intended to ask a friend at church to take a family photo of us after the service, but the kids were clearly done so we headed home. I then thought I’d do a “boys” photo and a “girls” photo – combine us in Photoshop. But my son wanted in with me and his sister so long story short, we got 2 photos. One with me and the kids and one with DH and the kids. Everyone is looking forward, happy and no tears so I’ll take it as a win. Maybe next year we’ll get a single photo. Maybe. 😉
LOL And typing with a baby in the lap – no good. Just saw I titled my link up as “2014” instead of “2015”. And she has now managed to open iPhoto on me while I’m typing this. Time to get off the computer! haha
Aww. That’s a sweet way to get them to behave for a picture. I wonder if my kids would be so cooperative if I tried the same thing. ??
Fantastic photo! Such a gorgeous family!
That’s a great family photo, I’m impressed! You’re right… the struggle is real. I can’t tell you the last time I got a family photo of the four of us. And my husband doesn’t help- he hates being in photos! I need to make more of an effort.
