Getting holiday ready in style
It had been two years since we last had family pictures or individual kid pictures. I needed to fix that. With the holidays coming up and cards needing to go out, I needed to fix it sooner rather than later.
Being style-backward doesn’t help me, either. The biggest stress wasn’t how the pictures would come out, for me it was finding clothes for all four girls to wear that would compliment each other, be stylish (in an age-appropriate way) be good for a cooler day or a warmer day, be comfortable, be durable (we pass clothes down here) and that they all would like.
I think I found some winners at OshKosh B’gosh between the OshKosh Kids and Baby B’gosh lines! I went into the store with the only thought that the girls had to all look good together, but not be completely matching. I had also looked online and knew that I had to have this knit poncho for the oldest. So, it kind of set the tone.
With “winter” coming up, I know she likes to have options to be warm in the morning and at school, but in Georgia we don’t always get much of a winter, and a long sleeved shirt and jeans is perfect for her kids style. Once, I found the poncho, there was a table with coordinating shirts near by. It was easy for me to find this great stripped shirt as well as three other shirts that coordinated for the younger three girls.
It helps that they have the full line up in both the kid’s section as well as the baby section, so I can cover sizes 3T all the way to 12 with all four girls and I don’t have to go to 3 different stores.
My “oddsies” (kiddos number 1 and 3) got shirts with fancy bow details at the neck and lace bottoms.
While my “evensies” (kiddos number 2 and 4) got shirts with button collars and buttons on the sleeves and their pop of lace is at the top of the collar. I really like how they match without matching.
This holiday season also brings a special little girl’s third birthday (hold me), we had to try to get her fashionable print by herself. She’s loud and pretty bossy, so the print was totally her. I saw it in the girls area on the table with the other shirts and walked back to the little kid (aka baby) area and found her size.
For somebody like me that struggles to find clothes for my kids for pictures, I was in and out of the store in ten minutes. And five of those were trying to rationalize with a two year old. I even picked up new jeggings for the 4 year old because she was in desperate need of new ones. Using the 25% off coupon below, I got all four shirts, the poncho and leggings for under $75. Then I get to see my girls with their smiling faces ready to update my frames around the house and that tells me I’m totally ready for the holidays.

we apparently must have raincoats here in washington. i kinda think oshkosh overalls are a necessity for kids too tho. we have a number of cute pictures snapped in them.
Dude! I’m in Washington right now! And, while it got dark at like 4:30….there was no rain in sight! (But, I think it’s supposed to rain Saturday when we are supposed to see the Space Needle!)

I’m torn between a pair of jeans or a hooded sweatshirt. They are both must haves (besides undergarments!). And Oshkosh has been my favorite store to shop at for my kids. The combination of coupons and sales and quality clothing can’t be beat. I always notice clothes from there last longer than almost anything else I buy, at least for the price. We have a few gap and polo brand items and some nice Lularoe/dotdotsmile dresses that are also very high quality, but have always been gifts from family because the price point is quite a bit higher. p.s. I LOVE the shirt your littlest has on in these pictures!!!

A piece of clothing that my grandsons and I always need to have is a pair of athletic shorts! We’re constantly outside or playing tennis so that’s a must for us.
