I missed these faces

While mom’s birthday surprise was a hit, I did miss these little faces just a tad.

And, I’m pretty sure they missed me, too.

You see, they were posing for me in this picture. #1 got #2 on the couch, held onto her and said “Mommy, you need to take a picture!”  Awwwwww…

DSC_4718While I did miss them terribly, I was reminded of them the entire weekend.

Not only does my sister have MORE picture of my girls at her house than I do, but every single person at the party asked where Pat’s adorable grandkids were.

And, they still didn’t understand when I explained that they stayed home with daddy.   And, even then, he was “babysitting.”  Just one small thing that separates our generations.

  2. Seeing the girls together I just can't wait for #2. They are precious!

  3. What sweet girls. Is it bad that when I'm away from my kids I don't miss them for at least 3 days? My mom took them for 5 days after Thanksgiving, and I didn't really miss them until the 3rd day. I felt like a horrible mom, but it's the truth! I guess because I'm with them every day all day. It takes awhile to remember that I should miss them. ;o)

  4. (Sarcastic font here) Seriously, stop posting amazing pictures of your kids…you're making the rest of us look bad…

I always find it funny when we are home with the kids we're just home with the kids and when dads are they are "babysitting". Hmmm.

  8. Look at those adorable smiles! It drives me crazy when people say that Josh is "babysitting" when it is just him and Carter.

I bet the girls missed their mommy as much as you missed them!

My husband would call it that too, on mistake, of course.
