The inner clutz comes out
Anybody who knows me knows I have horrible perception. I seriously walk into walls! All. The. Time! I will run into my foot board on my bed and will hit my head on stuff! It’s ridiculous!
Well, it finally happened today at work. I had pulled a drawer out (low to the ground) and didn’t realize it didn’t go all the way back in. I filled out a pass, and turned around and started walking towards a student. BAM! I hit the drawer, try to catch my balance, but there is a rolly chair (not good for catching yourself)…so I went down. In slow motion. I hit my left knee on the floor, then my right knee on the desk drawer, and I was down!
Ouch, ouch, crap, ouch! Then I realize that students are watching me! Thank goodness…they didn’t laugh. They just asked if I was okay. I said yes, but really I’m not. My knees are throbbing. My back and neck are all out of alignment, and my stomach hurts (well, maybe it’s not related, and maybe it’s the embarrassment). But, dang, I hurt!!!
I hope my daughter doesn’t get this wonderful bit from me!
Oh, poor you. I have a permanent bruise on my hip where I run into my bed at least daily. I love a fellow clutz.
aww, that sucks… I hate that you hurt yourself.. but I cant believe they didnt laugh! I’m super clutzy too… I feel ya!
