Just how much trouble can she find?

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

This is all within a couple days of each other.

How am I doing at this SAHM gig?

Incident #1 (notice they are numbered…much like an outline, if there is a 1, there will be a 2, and of course a 3, which is definitely the worst…or the best, depending on your opinion).
#1 was washing her hands. Yeah, the water was running for a while, but it was a break…and she wasn’t whining. When I finally went in, this is what I found:

Any guesses at how much soap she used? Half a container. Let’s just say her hands were pretty dang clean.

Incident #2:
#1 was coloring some fridge magnets on her desk. Once again, that all too familiar quiet was noticed and I looked over and saw this:

I guess I should be happy that she started by coloring the magnets; but then she became the canvas as well as her desk. And, yes, I took a picture of her artwork. The marker wasn’t toxic (at least, I don’t think it was).
Incident #3:
This was by far the worst offense this week. She was supposed to be taking a nap. Usually, if she isn’t taking a nap, she is yelling to come out of her room. This time, she was quiet. When she finally started yelling for me, I went into her room and found this pile in her bed:

Yes folks, those are books. But not just any books, those are library books. Two of them. If you are lucky enough to not have had to replace library books, not only will you pay top dollar for them, but you will also pay $10 a piece for service charges.

You are looking at $55 worth of destruction!

Hopefully, that’s enough trouble for the rest of the week!

  23. I keep a "round file" on my computer where I store pictures and stories such as these. I've found by the time I stop to take a picture and compose a story for it in my head, I'm not angry–in fact I enjoy most of their little antics and then we have fun cleaning up the mess together. Life is to0 short to waste it on anger. Loved the PSF 🙂 Here’s my photo story. happy Friday!

Well at least you are keeping a record and can show the girls what you went through when they tell you about their parenting trials.

Good luck….I know that you have heard this many times… but I'll say it again… they really will be grown before you know it….yes they will… and for now get a big bottle of Tylenol

    Love, Lura

  37. Thanks for the tip on the library book fiasco. Makes me even happier to know that I buy most of E's books @ the used book store or even better @ garage sales.

  40. sierra.rix says:

Um…Yeah – we have had the same type incidents – INCIDENTS (in REd) is more accurate.

Tip re the books – buy your own copies of the deconstructed ones and present them to the Library. Borders charges less.

  41. Man, she's giving you a run for your money!

My cousins usually use way too much soap too, but not that much. Isabelle has them beat on that one!

Those are some expensive books. Maybe the next time just read to when you or your husband is around or just don't leave her alone with them.
