I’m a picky person. Yep. I said it. So, when I go to the movies, I often just get water because the soda options are so limited. I occasionally have a soda, so I want it to be some thing I really enjoy! The best fix for that for me, is the Coca-Cola Freesyle.
Recently, Coca-Cola has launched a new mobile application that lets me connect my smart phone with the Coca-Cola Freestyle dispenser. So, I can go through the app, see all of the flavors and make my own custom drink. Then, when I get to the machine, I can scan the QR code and dispense my mixture and be done!
A really cool feature is being piloted in Atlanta, which is one of only three special markets in the country to pilot this fun, new technology. Once you download the new Coca-Cola Freestyle app to your smartphone you can unlock an exclusive flavor combination, Thunder Fusion. You just bump” your phone against the Coca-Cola Freestyle dispenser or scan a QR code on the screen at your favorite participating Atlanta AMC location* at it will automatically dispense the “super” creation, a combination of Fanta Lime, Fanta Raspberry and Coke.
Instead of the bumping option, I opted for the QR code scan and was greeted with the Thunder Fusion screen.
I dispensed the exclusive AMC drink, Thunder Fusion and gave it a whirl. Apparently, I was very excited to do so (it might have had something to do with me being at an adult movie with a friend!).
And, gave it a whirl. It reminded me of the taste of a melted frozen Coca-Cola mixed with cherry slushy. Not too fizzy and sweet. It sort of reminds me of the “suicide” drink that we would make at the pizza buffet in elementary school!
I think the app is really cool because you can set up your favorite drink (with ratios of several different flavors t the same time) before you get to the machine…so you don’t have to stand there and waiver.
The Coca-Cola Freestyle App is available on both iPhone/iOS and Android.
