Dear Santa, Send Batteries

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Duracell. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Dear Santa,

The Serious house looks forward to your visits every year. You bring us all fun things. Things that we can play with, color with and enjoy. But, I think you always forget something. Many of these new “toys” require batteries. And, if mommy and daddy don’t know what’s coming to our house, we might not have the right batteries for the day after your big day.

So, if you could be a dear, this year, could you bring us some batteries to go with our toys? Because we go through a TON of them. I have no idea why (wait, Santa, you probably don’t get sarcasm). So, what I mean is, I took two seconds to grab things I could see in my living room that require batteries and this is what I found.

Duracell Quantum Battery Review

It’s no wonder we likely spend around $20 every two months between all of these goodies and the rainforest toy in E’s crib and the glo-worm and even my mouse!

Duracell Quantum Battery Review

Santa, I know we can do the whole rechargeable battery thing, and I really try to be aware of all of the batteries we are using. But, I’ve had bad luck with those.

I’ve recently found the Duracell Quantum battery. This battery contains longer lasting power than any other battery on the market. It actually has a PowerCheck power indicator right on the side of the battery! So, if you pick up some of these for us, you’ll get more bang for your buck…or should I say reindeer? Lest you be confused, these batteries have been released in red so you can easily find them!

And just so you know, Santa, this year alone, Duracell has donated one million batteries to first responders across the country to help them power their life-saving equipment. Those first responders save lives every minute of everyday. I’m so glad they are giving back, too! In fact, they have created Quantum Heroes, a documentary style video series that shines a spotlight on the incredible work of first responders and their stories of sacrifice and heroism. When you have a second, you should definitely check it out.

Santa, I know this is a busy time, so I want to thank you for taking the time to read this. In case you are curious, top priority is AA batteries, followed by C and AAA and then D! I think batteries make a nice addition to any Christmas package.

Love,

Krystyn

My husband suggested we buy stock in batteries when my oldest son was born. Just in the swing alone we were buying batteries every other week.

At Christmas, I go ahead and purchase a large pack of every standard size battery there is. This normally gets us into spring. I’d love to see if the Duracell Quantum battery could get us even further- that would be wonderful actually!

I hope Santa brings you lots of batteries for all the great toys you’re littles will receive this year.

  22. I wouldn’t dream of giving someone a gift that required batteries without including the batteries, especially a child! My parents never gave us batteries…bad deal on Christmas day!

  23. Man, my family runs through so many batteries. I actually get some for the kids and put them in their stocking at Christmas to go in the toys that they get under the tree.

Lol! We have the same issue just last week i had to use the same remote for 3 different rooms because i was out of batteries, im stocking up on them for christmas!

  25. You’re right. The kids get frustrated it when we open toys and it says we need 3D batteries for example and we don’t have it readily available. So when I give toys that requires battery, I purchase one with the gift, that way the kids can enjoy the toy right away.

  26. one can NEVER have too many batteries. I wish I would have been the one to think up that idea because whoa I’d be so rich, lol

  27. I love that they are giving to first responders. They are such wonderful people and so very important. We always need batteries here too!

  32. I wish Santa filled our stockings with batteries! You can really never have too many

  33. My mom gives us batteries as a gift every year. Not a small pack – the giant packs from Costco. It is one of our favorite gifts.

I always find it so thoughtful when people include batteries when they give a gift that requires them. It doesn’t even have to be a full pack – if the toy only requires two batteries, just tie a bow around them and stick them in the package!

  34. Amen! We always stack up on batteries when they are cheap! I try to stay away from the toys that require anything other than AA or AAA batteries 🙂
