Silly faces | Mommy and Me Monday | 344th ed

This was a week for the books. Lots of cleaning up from sick kids and picking up kids from school. But, the weekend came, we all survived and everybody is healthy. One day we’ll catch up with the laundry, but today is not that day.

Today, we went to church, had lunch, some naps and playing and then frantically got some poorly lit and blurry pictures for the week because there weren’t any on the books. And, it’s not about the quality of the picture. It’s the fact that it exists and we are there. (I think N was chopping vegetables for dinner. You can’t take that girl out of the kitchen!)

And if my phone is out, B requests “silly faces” aka snapchat. Thank goodness you can now create memories and not flood your storyline with these goofy pictures. Although, maybe I should have just filled it up. What’s not to love about the blurry unicorn throwing up rainbows? If that doesn’t scream motherhood, I don’t know what does!

I can just hear B say “I yike thap-un” (“I like that one”) and then cheesing it up. We make some pretty cute doe-eyed deer!

And then she got sad. And when the sad face comes, she tries to smile and then make a sadder sad face. Which makes us all laugh. I think really that’s what snapchat was created for. Not for disappearing and inappropriate messages (I will continue to live in my little bubble. Thankyouverymuch!)
