NESCAFE Dolce Gusto Piccolo Review

When I have a coffee drink at home, I’m not brewing a pot, I was a fun, frothy drink.  And, I’d like it to be fun and easy to make.  Bonus points for the machine being cute, too.  And, with very limited counter space, being small is a bonus, too.

NESCAFE recently introduced their Dolce Gusto individual coffee makers.  I was lucky enough to have the Piccolo at our house to test out.

Look how cute it is.  It reminds me of a little penguin, or a little other bird.  It fits very well on our kitchen counter without taking up the entire thing!  This is definitely a perk for us.

      The only disadvantage that I can find is the machine’s water reservoir. It only holds 0.6 litres, while the other models hold 1.5 litres, which means the reservoir has to be refilled almost constantly.

      1. I don’t mind refilling it every couple drinks. It lets me know the water is fresh instead of sitting in the reservoir for a couple days.

        If there is one you’d like to send me to try out…I’d be happy to test out another one:)

      I BOUGHT THE DOLCE GUSTO PICOLO AND HAD TROUBLE WITH IT, PUT IT AWAY IN A BOX AND RECENTLY RETURNED FROM ITALY WITH A DESIRE FOR MORE ESPRESSO AND REMEMBERED I HAD A DOLCE GUSTO. WELL STILL NOT WORKING THE WATER HEATS BUT DONT COME THRU. I TRIED USING THE PIN PER THE VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS ON YOUTUBE, STILL NO WATER NEVERTHELESS NO COFFEE.

      1. I’d check with the company and see if they have any other suggestions for you…even giving them a call. Sometimes that’s the best route. Good luck!
