Our favorite princess + The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition Giveaway
With two curly red-headed little girls, it’s no surprise that their first princess love was Ariel from The Little Mermaid (now that Merida from Brave is here, she’s a close second).
Two years in a row, our oldest was Ariel for Halloween. She sported her Ariel dress for her first Disney on Ice event (where she even got to light the lantern with the characters from Tangled).
It was also one of our first rides at our first family trip to Disney World.
They loved it!
And now, they will get a chance to see the movie again because The Little Mermaid is coming out on Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital Copy!

When we went to Disney World a few weeks back, my 4-year-old daughter sang “Part of Your World” to Ariel when she met her. She is also a redhead, and absolutely enamored by a redheaded princess. That she is a mermaid to boot, is icing on the cake. 🙂
My all-time favorite Disney movie is Alice in Wonderland. It’s also my favorite book. 😉

The Little Mermaid, two hands down. When Tangled came out, Rapunzel raced up the favorites ladder and immediately took second place, but NO ONE can replace Ariel. For pete’s sake, I used to steal my mom’s bra, tie my legs together and sit on the recliner and sing….. There may (or may not) be photo evidence of this.

There are so many favorites! I love Beauty and the Beast because of Belle’s love for books. I’m a book lover myself, so I feel connected to her.

I know all the words to the entire soundtrack!
Without a doubt, Part Of Your World – my daughter loves it when I sing it to her.
I think my favorite Disney movie is The Hunchback of Notre Dame. It’s basically a tie between that, Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast, but Hunchback is so under appreciated, with such a fantastic score, that I feel like it needs my love.
Under the Sea is my favorite, of course!
My favorite is Cinderella because it has a great message and is such a classic!
I like “Part of Your World”.
“Cinderella” is my favorite Disney movie because when I watched it as a kid, I was amazed by her transformation and I wanted to have my own fairy godmother.
How do I pick a favorite? I’ve always loved Sleeping Beauty (I don’t even think we own it, maybe mom has it on VHS?) but I love Cinderella and Lion King and Aladdin.
My favorite song is Kiss the Girl….sha-na-na-na-na-na don’t be shy!
And I forgot to say why I like Sleeping Beauty so much…I like how the Prince rescues her. SO cheesy I know.

Yikes. Choosing just one fave is hard. When I was a little girl, I reeeeally wanted to be a mermaid, but at the same time, I though Cinderella’s transformation was pretty rad. I think it’s a tie between the two!
Love The LIttle Mermaid. Audrey and Annie are really starting to get into it too.

I can’t pick just one Disney movie but I love the classics like Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Lady and the Tramp, Aristocats and Snow White. My family loves them all.
The reason I love them is because I grew up with those movies and now I can show my children those same great movies.
