Plan a mom pampering / self-care day affordably

Moms need to have some time being pampered. A little time off from “mom-ing.” At the very least, some time for self-care. And, if possible, doing it with friends because going with friends just makes it better.

My best buddies, Meghan, Lindsey, and I were recently hosted for a morning of pampering at Paul Mitchell the School Esanii in Alpharetta, Georgia. They are an accredited cosmetology and esthetics school offering a wide range of services that include hair procedures, nails, waxing and skin treatments such as microcurrent and microdermabrasion.

It was nice to have some time together with just us ladies and to be taken care of by the students at the school and with very affordable prices. Plus, we were helping students get the hands on experiences they need!

The school is very high energy and has a lot of things going on. While there, they were having a princess and pirate party for little kids with a very low entry price, tons of entertainment and the money going to one of their Supported Organizations.

We spent several hours getting a couple treatments each and it totally wouldn’t have broken the bank. It’s shocking how affordable it all is considering some of the prices I’ve paid for services. Check out all of the services they offer.

We all had a hot stone treatment. At the school, this is 60 minutes and costs $20-$28! Once I was nice and relaxed, I was transferred over to the area where my hair cut consolation would begin. We spent a while talking about what I wanted, what she would do and how it would look. My hair cut with blow dry and iron would have run between $20-$28. And a kids haircut would have run me $10. Yes, I asked because these haircuts are expensive!

After my wash, cut, blow-dry and style, it was time for my make-up. It’s been a few years since I had make-up done (for a wedding) so this was a nice treat. At $15-$20, I wish I could go every day and have them do my eyes for me!

In about 3-4 hours you can fit in at least 3 services and spend under $100! It’s a nice way for mom or anybody to be pampered and spend some time with friends. I’m sure we will be back for more, and next time, I will have a date night or a fun night out with the friends planned. Instead, the bullseye store and errands were calling, but it was nice to feel pampered and have some time for some self-care with friends.

Our care team did a great job!

We have a Paul Mitchell school on I-10 by the beltway. I am going to have to check it out. I have been curious on their services and prices.

    1. They are independently owned, so pricing might be slightly different, but I can’t imagine much.

  3. So fun to be so relaxed. Those skin treatments melted me into a puddle!
