Spring Break | Mommy and Me Monday | The 269th ed
We have a lot coming up in the next month, so Spring Break was a chill at home week. There was game playing, cleaning and organizing, outside playing and too much television and movies. And, lots of hanging out in the living room and playing with the selfie stick.
Four of the five days, the oldest made lunch for her sisters and herself. How is it that my baby is old enough to cook (grilled cheese) and prepare a meal for them all and doesn’t need me for any of it? And my littlest middle is old enough to eat a whole apple without me cutting it?
On Thursday, we drove downtown and met Mr. Serious for lunch then went back to his office to meet some of his coworkers. I think it was fun for everybody. Or maybe a distraction for all of the coworkers (it must be like 80/20 women on his floor!)
The oldest middle needs convincing to do everything and will try to talk her way out of anything. She was okay with taking a picture with me because of the selfie stick…and I’m sharing because towel-head!
Poor B had a rough week. After getting her shots, trying to cut molars and I think what was hand, foot and mouth disease, she was a little needier than normal. Of course, I was happy to oblige. And, she’s perfecting the stink eye like the best of them.
It wasn’t a special Spring Break with a trip or vacation or anything crazy planned, but a couple store trips and a visit downtown made it our Spring Break and I hope the girls enjoyed it.

I feel like I blinked and your girls just GREW UP! And to be so self-sufficient! A blessing and a curse. 😉
To me any time we have off to spend as a family is special – it sounds like you all made the most of spring break and had fun! I hope B is feeling better. We’ve been dealing with teething with the baby (although none have come through yet) and it’s already been a tad of a struggle, but I’ll take all the extra snuggles. They grow up so fast!
We didn’t really do much for Spring Break this year either. Lots of people go to the beach but the water is just too cold in March!
