The dancer | WW

The big day was finally here. DSC_7788

You were so very excited for us to watch you dance.

You let me pull your hair into a bun without a fuss.

You let me put your makeup on and didn’t rub it once.

The costume?

More than loved it.

Even the weird shimmery tights.

"Mommy, do you have my taps and ballet shoes?"

Ready to go.

Even though you were a little scared.

You did your best.

You held your hands just so.

And, you tapped your little feet as you remembered.

You got upset only once when you couldn’t see us.  But, you kept on going.

Ballet.  So very graceful.

The pirouettes made me a little teary.

You stood right smack behind a girl twice your size.

Not to hide.  Just found your place right there.

You did your dance.

You were so proud of yourself.

Rightfully so.

And us?  Proud beyond words.

I’m linking up here.  Go and visit their Wordful and Wordless Wednesdays.
