Then and Now- Advent | Mommy and Me Monday | 306th ed
We lit the Advent wreath at church and the only thing that caught fire was the candles. So I call that a win.
Mr. Serious, N (the 7 year old) and I did the reading for the 4th Sunday of Advent. The oldest did the candle lighting and the little two just hung with us. We received a lot of nice compliments about our family which was greatly appreciated. Church is one of the few places we hardly get any comments about the size of our family!
And, a little throwback to the first time our family lit the Advent candles. This time it was the first Sunday of Advent and it was 9 years ago (2006!) with just the oldest. The photo quality is amazing and yes, she was fed shortly after this picture.
We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and happy holiday season. I can’t believe it’s almost 2016!
What were you up to this week?
Since the button code stopped working many moons ago, I took it out. But, if you are adding your link to my link list, please, as a courtesy, add a link back to my site so people can explain and link up themselves if they’d like. After all, that’s the point of the link up!Â
It’s time again for Mommy and Me Monday. Pop out from behind that camera and capture yourself in action with your kids. Check out the inaugural Mommy and Me Monday for more information. Â

Success for sure! And what a great family photo. 🙂 Hope you all had wonderful Christmas.
Remind me later to tell you about the time our family (when I was little) lit the Christ Candle… complete with my 5 year old brother rolling his eyes and using a demon voice. I look back on it now and cackle laughing!!
I forgot about the previous time we lit the candle! Crazy to see how much we have grown and multiplied in that time. It’s a wonderful life indeed!
Aww, love the family pic, and the flashback!! Glad to hear you and your family had a nice Christmas! 🙂
Aww. Such a beautiful family. I bet you all did a wonderful job in church. And yes, no one started on fire, so that is a definite plus! 😉
Hope you all had a very blessed Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year!
