Tips for re-organizing your kitchen drawers + discount
Do you need tips for re-organizing your kitchen drawers? I know we do!
Our kitchen needs to be well-organized and tidy with 6 people living here. It’s the way it has to be. We recently re-organized our very limited kitchen drawers and wanted to share the process so you can see how easy it is!
This post “Tips for re-organizing your kitchen drawers” is sponsored by Spectrum Diversified Designs – HEXA brand.
1. Measure twice, cut once.
Sure, we aren’t building built-in features or anything, but drawer sizes vary greatly. Make sure you know all of the dimensions of your drawers; length, width, height.
It’s handy to even sketch out a drawing of your kitchen and write down the measurements on each corresponding drawer.
2. Place your orders for HEXA in-drawer organizers.
HEXA product features are where style meets function – you get a clean drawer without sacrificing style/taste.
The hexagon shape known as HEXOLOGY results in no dirt buildup on your dishes/utensils.
This shape allows for water and debris to move through the organizer, keepings utensils cleaner and allowing you to simply lift it out of the drawer to wipe away any dirt left behind.
While I’m using these HEXA drawer organizers for our kitchen, they can also be used for the kitchen, garage, bathroom, make-up drawer, crafts, etc.
Head over to amazon and check out all of the HEXA products they have to offer.
Look at the dimensions of your drawers and compare to make sure they will fit. Also, take note that they do have a slight edge at the top.
Now you wait for their arrival! Don’t worry, if you have prime, they will come super fast.
3. Remove it all
Now that your HEXA drawer organizers have arrived (or if you are waiting), it’s time to take everything out of your drawers. Yes, everything!
And if you are lucky like me, you’ll discover that your drawers are actually lined with wood-pattern contact paper. I took that out, too!
4. Vacuum out the drawers
Inevitably, there will be some dust or crumbs or random things in the corners of your drawers.
Get your vacuum and an angled or brush attachment and vacuum out your drawers. It’s the easiest and most effective way to get it all out.
5. Wash your drawers
Since you’ve got everything removed, go ahead and clean the fronts and insides of the drawers to remove any extra debris.
I’ve learned that a a gallon of hot water with 1 tsp of Tide powder and a microfiber cloth goes a long way. Take the time to give them a thorough cleaning.
6. Dry your drawers
You don’t want to put your new containers in your drawers while they are still wet. Give them a wipe down with a clean towel to make sure they are dry.
7. Purge
Before you go putting all of your kitchen stuff back into the drawers and your new HEXA kitchen organizers, take stock of what you have.
Do you need 3 cake knives? How about 4 pizza cutters? Put those to the side and donate them, give them away or toss them depending on their wear.
8. Get to organizing
Put your HEXA silverware trays (either expandable or regular) in your drawers that house your silverware. Then add your silverware and marvel at what you’ve done!
Just look at this mess! This is our one big drawer and everything always has to be moved around to find what you are looking for.
First, we tested out the expandable drawer organizer. The parts on the sides can go wider or narrower depending on your needs. And they don’t have to be balanced evenly right to left.
The expandable wings anchor the organizer in place for ease of use and have multiple dividers for an array of utensils/cutlery of different shapes and sizes
Now, everything has a place and we can see it all.
Next, I tried the in-drawer organizer to keep my various house items clean without sacrificing style.
Like the silverware organizer, these easily slide
into drawers, with rubber feet to prevent sliding in-drawer which is great when you have longer drawers.
We decided to stick with these organizers for our random kitchen gadgets.
The in-drawer organizer has a modular design that offers endless customization options for organizing which are also great for our narrower drawers. Things slide all around in here. But, not anymore.
When I used to open this drawer, all of our measuring spoons would slide to the back of the drawer.
Now that they are in the HEXA drawer organizer, they stay in place.

They have a lot of neat items in the frozen section. They have ice cube trays that make sports ball shaped ice and other unique shapes.. They have several animal and other shaped popsicle molds. I don’t have the freezer space for all of the molds I want!!
Who doesn’t love clean organized kitchen drawers!
their scoop and sift and ice cream cutters. very cute brand
They had drying mats and a soap/sponge dish.
Spectrum Hexa 5-Divider Expandable Silverware Tray.
I love the expandable tray. Normally, the silver trays are smaller than my drawers
I would enjoy having the HEXA Sponge & Brush Organizer With Soap Pump. I do not have a good place to store my brush and this would remedy my situation.
Another item I could use is the HEXA Sponge & Soap Dish. I am regularly reaching for sponges or scrubbing pads. I really like their organizational products but went to their store on Amazon and had a hard time seeing all of their products. It’s probably me not knowing what I’m doing.
I like the soap and sponge holder as well.
