Disney Princess Easter Basket

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. I MAY EARN FROM QUALIFYING PURCHASES.

Do you do Easter baskets for your children? Have you ever done a Disney Princess Easter Basket before? I’ve got all of our Easter details and how I put together just the perfect Easter Basket for our toddler.

Is it weird to say we are non-traditional traditionalists? If we need to place a label, I mean? Because I think that’s what we are.

We have our kids take pictures with the Easter bunny (if they want to) at our church. Right. Church. Where we celebrate the Resurrection and Jesus and the bunny! But we do because it’s sort of become our tradition. And, the girls “hunt” for eggs, because oh.my.gosh.the.candy!

By the time the day of Easter rolls around, they have had two or three egg hunts between church, school and our neighborhood, so the bunny doesn’t hide eggs at our house. In fact, since the bunny hasn’t done any handy work at our house, I’m not even sure what the girls think or believe about him/her? But just in case, I won’t ask.

So, we attend Church and celebrate with family and sometimes friends. And at some point during the day, there are Easter goodies. Sometimes we do water colors and paper, other times books and stickers. I don’t think I’ve ever done a traditional Easter basket, either.

This year, I had purchased some inexpensive plastic buckets to customize with the girls’ names.  They love all containers to put their “stuff” in, so I know this will be a hit. And, a little treat is the egg with their initial on it! I think I’m going to become addicted to this vinyl and my Silhouette.

Then it was time to fill it. I headed to Walmart and hit the Easter aisles. With my intent to fill it with all things Disney Princesses, I didn’t find much there. So, I wondered around some more and found a ton in the toy aisles, the book aisles and the coloring section.

It’s hard to guess what will be the favorites. E would be happy with the 208 Princess stickers and will likely put them all over us within one day! We have had wooden lacing cards before but the laces and the cards went through a separation so these will make a nice addition. I also picked up the Princess Little People a Palace Pet (who knew Sleeping Beauty had a cat?), some Princess tattoos (I’d call that pretty non-traditional Easter) and bubbles.

Inside the basket

So for my first traditional non-traditional Easter basket, I think I did pretty well and the girls are going to love theirs!

Does the Easter bunny visit your house? How do you do Easter?

  1. I like the idea of a personalized container instead of the traditional baskets (which inevitably end up tossed out or stored in the garage somewhere!)

The bunny has always brought baskets, but never hidden eggs. We always go to the egg hunt at church, and sometimes the adults hide them for the kids at Grandma’s house. Sometimes, the kids just hide them for each other! I may have to have you give me a Silhouette demo. E’s basket looks fantastic!

    1. I think our kids have hidden eggs together, too!

Thanks! Happy to give you a demo…I’m certainly not an expert. This was my first time with vinyl..and I may have spelled the oldest child’s name wrong the first time!

The Easter Bunny visits our house! I have done a variety of things with their Easter baskets. I do like doing a theme better than anything else with a few pieces of candy. We also go to church and participate in a few egg hunts. One of the ones I liked the best was one where a plane dropped the eggs out of the sky. That was fun and something the kids really enjoyed!

good idea on the Easter basket – those traditional ones are always to hard to store. this will get used more for sure and with their names on them they won’t get them mixed up

How cute to personalize an Easter bucket! My sister, Dad and I all go to my sister’s house and have a big Easter dinner and we have a nice Easter egg hunt and hand out candy and toys. I like Easter because it is a fun time to get together with family and get to see all the nieces and nephews!

  6. Those are some great things to put in an Easter basket! I love the tattoos and my kids would too. The stickers? YES. All over the entire family in less than an hour. all 200+ of them! #client
